Give and Receive Back a Greater Measure

Give, and it will be given to you. They will pour into your lap a good measure–pressed down, shaken together, and running over [with no space left for more]. For with the standard of measurement you use [when you do good to others], it will be measured to you in return.”

Hallelujah to the King of Kings for this beautiful day and the opportunity to rejoice and be glad in it.

Today’s scripture is Jesus’ own words to us. Jesus Christ is sharing a great Kingdom principle with with us. This is a lesson that if we catch the revelation, opens us up for greater blessings.

The Lord says that give and it will be given unto you, it means that givers for not lack, if you freely give, naturally people will in turn give unto you. Your giving May be in the form of love, physical things or even money or whatever. Let’s know and remember that we don’t have to get the whole world (become rich or have excess things) before we give!

Giving must be exercised to all people and the church of Jesus Christ. May your standard of measurement for giving be a very generous heart without restraint!

The scripture says that you will receive in excess of what you have given, a good measure, pressed down, shaken together and running over will be your portion in Jesus Mighty name. It means that there will be no more room or capacity for you to receive! May you receive these greater blessings in Jesus name. Amen.

Winning the Spiritual Battle

For our struggle is not against flesh and blood [contending only with physical opponents], but against the rulers, against the powers, against the world forces of this [present] darkness, against the spiritual forces of wickedness in the heavenly (supernatural) places.

Praise be to God for this beautiful Sunday morning, may greater grace abound.

The battle is the Lord’s! It is a spiritual battle that we need to depend on God to win. Scripture says the weapons of our warfare are not carnal because the battles that we face are not only physical but also spiritual.

It is only God who can equip us to overcome and conquer spiritual wickedness in high places, rulers of darkness and all sorts of evil powers. The Spirit of God empowers us to stand and overcome all forms of spiritual battles.

Receive spiritual strength and empowerment to win all your battles in Jesus Mighty name. May you be an overcomer and conqueror in the name of Jesus. Glory to God. Amen.

You are the light to the World

“You are the light of [Christ to] the world. A city set on a hill cannot be hidden;”

Praise God for the blessings of a brand new day and the opportunity to rejoice and be glad in it.

By the grace of God we continue from yesterday’s devotion, scripture for today says we are the Light of this world. That means if we don’t glow and bright the world will experience darkness.

Jesus Christ is the answer to the world! The Light of the world and therefore must shine to attract people to Christ. As light we need to be on the hill, that is strategically positioned to brighten up where we are for others to find the path to Jesus Christ.

As the Light of Christ we are compared to the City on the Hill that cannot be hidden, we cannot but to brighten up where we are to lead people to the Light of the world. Keep shining and illuminate the world for Jesus to be glorified.

Let your light shine before others

Let your light shine before men in such a way that they may see your good deeds and moral excellence, and [recognize and honor and] glorify your Father who is in heaven.
(MATTHEW 5:16 AMP)

Praise and honour be unto God for this beautiful day, may the joy of the Lord carry us through the day.

Light brings illumination and understanding and scatters all forms of darkness including doubts and ignorance. That is the reason why Jesus said we don’t light a candle and put under a bushel.

Have you lit your Light? Where have you placed it? Is your Light accessible to others? Today’s scripture says that Let your Light Shine before men, this means that you definitely need to have a glowing light on. You must be connected to the Light of this world Jesus Christ to be able to have your Light lit and continue to burn.

May your Light including the life you lead reflect Jesus Christ and may it attract others to follow Jesus Christ. May the Light guide, direct and counsel many people. The benefits of your Light to others is a glory and testimony to the Most High God. Let the Light therefore shine so brightly that many will see the path of salvation and come to God.

Keep your Light glowing and brighter all the time in Jesus Mighty name, many are following it to Christ, Amen.

Loving a brother is loving God

If anyone says, “I love God,” and hates (works against) his [Christian] brother he is a liar; for the one who does not love his brother whom he has seen, cannot love God whom he has not seen.
1 JOHN 4:20 AMP

Praise and Glory be to God for this beautiful day. The joy of the Lord is our strength.

Love is of God and God is Love. Today’s scripture says that we cannot claim to love God but hate our brethren. Errrrmmmm, does it ring a bell in and around us? This is a wake up call that we cannot claim to love God but hate our brethren. As we love our brothers and sisters we are indeed loving God.

The scripture says you are a liar if you profess love for God but work against your brother or sister. Where has God prepared for liars? Mercy Lord! It is a serious issue at stake. Love always gives, God is our example, For God so loved the world that He gave! Let’s keep giving love to all around us.

May our Love for God not be a lip service. May our Love for God be real! May it transcend ourselves to the people we encounter. May the Love of God fill our hearts so that we can easily love one another all the days of our lives in Jesus Mighty name. Amen.

Take up your cross and follow Jesus

Jesus called the crowd together with His disciples, and said to them, “If anyone wishes to follow Me [as My disciple], he must deny himself [set aside selfish interests], and take up his cross [expressing a willingness to endure whatever may come] and follow Me [believing in Me, conforming to My example in living and, if need be, suffering or perhaps dying because of faith in Me]. For whoever wishes to save his life [in this world] will [eventually] lose it [through death], but whoever loses his life [in this world] for My sake and the gospel’s will save it [from the consequences of sin and separation from God].
(MARK 8:34‭-‬35 AMP)

Praise the Lord for this beautiful day and the opportunity to rejoice and be glad in it.

Today’s passage is very long and the reason is that Jesus does not want any half hearted people to follow Him so He has taken His time to explain what it takes to follow Him.

Is your mind made up to follow Jesus? Are you ready to deny yourself of the pleasures of this world? Ready to sacrifice for the sake of the gospel?

Be ready to follow Christ’s example of by going all out to preach His gospel to all no matter the challenges that come our way. Defying the odds to send the gospel to the world, criticism and allegations, open rebuke and rejection, the absence of resources etc will not hinder the preaching of the Gospel.

Be fully available to preach His gospel to all at all times without any form of holding back. God grant the grace and strengthen our faith to stand firm and hold high the banner of Jesus Christ to the world till His coming. May the Grace to endure to the end locate us in Jesus Mighty name. Amen.

Seek and search the Lord with all your heart

‘Then [with a deep longing] you will seek Me and require Me [as a vital necessity] and [you will] find Me when you search for Me with all your heart.
JEREMIAH 29:13 AMP

Blessed be the name of the Lord our God, in whom we live, move and have our being. Hallelujah! May the joy that today brings know no bounds.

The scripture says that we should seek and search for the Lord with all our hearts. A completely full desire for the Lord, longing for Him as a necessity in our lives is what the Prophet Jeremiah is talking about. The feeling that your life is incomplete without the Lord is the reason why we have to seek and search with all your heart.

We shall find Him when we seek with all our hearts and minds, see the Lord as a vital necessity in your life and do all within your means to connect permanently with Him.

Our constant fellowship and prayers (seeking and searching) will bring us into contact with this great God!

His presence in our lives makes a great difference and transforms lives completely so our desire and longing for Him must always be high. May the Lord come through for us, may we experience His presence in every sphere of our lives in Jesus Mighty name. Amen.

Love is the fulfilment of the Law

Love does no wrong to a neighbor [it never hurts anyone]. Therefore [unselfish] love is the fulfillment of the Law.
ROMANS 13:10 AMP

Love does no wrong to anyone, it doesn’t hurt a neighbour. Love binds people together, Love overlooks and keeps no record of evil.

May we be the carriers of Love to the world, the love that Jesus Christ demonstrated towards us by dying to save us in our sinful state should be given back to the world.

May the Love of God envelope us and dwell in us so that we can share this with the world without restraint and any iota of selfishness. God be our help so we love at all times to draw many into His Kingdom. Love one another for Love is of God! Amen.

Righteousness Guards the Path of the Blameless

Righteousness (being in right standing with God) guards the one whose way is blameless, But wickedness undermines and overthrows the sinner.

PROVERBS 13:6 AMP
Glory be to God for this beautiful day, may the joy of the Lord be with you throughout the day. 
Righteousness is simply living right with God and this is what makes one a godly and upright one. It is your godliness or righteousness that will guard you from destruction. 
The unrighteous person is the one who disregards the Word and ways of God so will walk into the very sinful acts that the Word of God speaks against. 
When you walk according to your own ways, you do your things and therefore not covered by the protection of God. When you are not right with God you do not have the holy Spirit dwelling in you to prompt you not to sin against the Most High God. You may find yourself literally walking into destruction because that is what the depraved mind will lead you to do.
May the Lord help us to live right with Him so that we do not commit sins against our bodies and against God, our bodies are the temples of God and must be sanctified at all times. May Jehovah God help us to walk blameless before Him all the days of our lives in Jesus Mighty name. Amen.

Worship and Honour the Lord from your Heart

Then the Lord said, “Because this nation approaches [Me only] with their words And honors Me [only] with their lip service, But they remove their hearts far from Me, And their reverence for Me is a tradition that is learned by rote [without any regard for its meaning],

Praise be to God for this beautiful day,  may His holy name be exalted and glorified. 
May the Lord not identify us as a people who only pay lip service to Him but our hearts are far from Him.
May the Love of God,  may the fire of God burn so much in us that we serve the Lord with all our hearts and minds.  May the fire of God burn in our bones so that we don’t live any complacent life.
May we not be likened to clanging cymbals that only make noise(pay lip service)  but be a people filled with the holy ghost fire burning for the Lord.
May our words and Worship unto the Lord always be from deep within our hearts and Spirit with reverence unto our Maker. Love the Lord with all your might and all your heart and all your strength. All adoration be unto the Most High God, Amen.

Do everything in love

Be on guard; stand firm in your faith [in God, respecting His precepts and keeping your doctrine sound]. Act like [mature] men and be courageous; be strong. Let everything you do be done in love [motivated and inspired by God’s love for us].

Still in the Spirit of doing all things out of Love, Apostle Paul charges us to stand firm in the Lord not wavering in Faith, being courageous and acting as matured people in the Lord. 
Be on guard and let the Word of God guide our walk and actions.  The Love of God should be our motivation and inspiration for each step taken. May the Love of God envelope us and be the source of our every action. God bless you loads. Amen.

Giving to Please God

But when you give to the poor and do acts of kindness, do not let your left hand know what your right hand is doing [give in complete secrecy],  so that your charitable acts will be done in secret; and your Father who sees [what is done] in secret will reward you.

Praise God for the blessings of a brand new day and the opportunity to rejoice and be glad in it. 
God loves a cheerful giver. Giving is the very fabric of God. We are encouraged to give especially to the less privileged and poor. Our motives for giving must however be pure all the time.
Our giving must be from our hearts, from within and not just a lip service to please others. Hypocrisy comes in when giving is just for fame and not from a genuine and pure heart. May the Lord help us to give to Please Him alone. 
May we not miss the Lord’s rewards when it comes to giving, we need the Father’s Reward. Thank you Lord Jesus for guiding us to give rightly so that we can receive heavenly blessings in Jesus Mighty name. Amen
