Be Merciful Like your Heavenly Father

Be merciful (responsive, compassionate, tender) just as your [heavenly] Father is merciful.

Praise, glory and honour be unto God for this beautiful day and the opportunity to connect to the Most High God.

Thanks be to God for the example of the Father together with guidance from the Word of God. The mercy of the Lord is what saved us in the first place.

The scripture says that we should be merciful to one another just as our Lord and Saviour is merciful to us.

Have you received the mercies of God? If yes then it is time to also show that love, compassion and tender heartedness to someone.

Heavenly Father help us to be loving, tender hearted and responsive to others. May we be compassionate towards all we encounter. Grant us the grace to do this in Jesus Mighty name. Amen.

Believe God and your prayers shall be answered

For this reason I am telling you, whatever things you ask for in prayer [in accordance with God’s will], believe [with confident trust] that you have received them, and they will be given to you.

Glory and honour be to God for this beautiful day, let’s celebrate the goodness of the Lord.

The scripture is telling us that as we lift up prayer unto the Lord, we should believe God for the requests we have made. Our prayers should be backed by faith and should be in line with the Word of God.

As we open our mouth to pray to God we should have faith that we are receiving answers to our prayers. It is important that we do not doubt because a double minded person cannot receive from the Lord. We should have that firm trust in God that we shall receive answers to our prayers even if it tarries.

May our confidence in the Lord remain steadfast as we apply our faith to receive answers to our prayers made in accordance with the will of God. Thank you Jesus for answered prayers. Amen.

Perfect Love Casts out Fear

There is no fear in love [dread does not exist]. But perfect (complete, full-grown) love drives out fear, because fear involves [the expectation of divine] punishment, so the one who is afraid [of God’s judgment] is not perfected in love [has not grown into a sufficient understanding of God’s love].
1 JOHN 4:18 AMP

Glory be to the Most High God, this is the day that the Lord has made, let us rejoice and be glad in it.

God’s love is so wonderful! Love is the greatest of all! The Love of God is the perfect love that is shed abroad in our hearts, this is the love that counts no wrong and therefore drives out Fear.

The scripture makes it clear to us that fear cannot co-habit with Love, once love is present, it casts out fear. God has not given us the spirit of fear or timidity but of boldness and sound mind which is powered by the love of God.

May the Love of God fill our hearts and minds to drive out any form of fear that prevents us from doing God’s perfect will for our lives. Let’s walk in the boldness and love of God. May greater love abound in your life in Jesus’ Mighty name. Amen.

Sticking to the Approval of God

Am I now trying to win the favor and approval of men, or of God? Or am I seeking to please someone? If I were still trying to be popular with men, I would not be a bond-servant of Christ.

Hallelujah to the King of Kings for this beautiful day. May the joy of the Lord be our portion throughout the day.

Apostle Paul was asking the Galatian church some questions that are relevant to us today. Whom do we seek to please in our Christian walk?

Apostle Paul’s words here should be a guide to all believers to strive to live for Jesus Christ no matter what comes our way. Trying to please men for favour will only yield a temporal “reward” for you.

May we be bound to Jesus Christ such that human favour will not interfere in our complete service to the Lord.

Help us Lord not to be involved in a popularity contest in our service to you. May our approval be from the Most High God who sees all our secrets and rewards in its due time. Amen. 🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾

Live by the Word of God

But Jesus replied, “It is written and forever remains written, ‘Man shall not live by bread alone , but by every word that comes out of the mouth of God .’”

The Word of God created the World and all that is in it. Without the Word, nothing can be done.Thanks be to Jesus for coming to fulfil the scriptures as Prophet Isaiah captured in Isaiah 11:1-2 (confirmed in Luke 4:17-18). The Word of God is Light for our path and the lamp unto our feet.It is pure and unadulterated from God through His servants and meant to give us life. In today’s scripture Jesus makes us to know that food is good but it is not everything! The most important or essential thing for a believer is to believe completely in the Word of God and live by it.May the Word of God be our defence, May it be our guide, May it be our backbone and stability. Overcome Evil with Good

Do not be overcome and conquered by evil, but overcome evil with good.

ROMANS 12:21 AMP

The beginning of this chapter talks about the renewal and transformation of our mind and seeking to do what is the perfect and acceptable will of God.

The book of Romans also says that we are more than conquerors through Christ. Today’s scripture says that we should not be overcome and conquered by evil but we should overcome evil with good.

Christ Jesus dwells in us and we are carriers of good news, we are conquerors and overcomers so we should overcome evil. We should not allow evil to defeat us.

Our Most High God help us not to pay back evil with evil but to live peaceably with all men for vengeance is the Lord’s. May we Strive to overcome and conquer evil with good as we obey and fulfil God’s word in Jesus Mighty name. Amen.

Father Cleanse Me from sin and purify me

Have mercy on me, O God, according to Your lovingkindness; According to the greatness of Your compassion blot out my transgressions. Wash me thoroughly from my wickedness and guilt And cleanse me from my sin.

Glory be to God for a brand new day and the gift of life.

King David said this prayer after he had been confronted by Prophet Nathan following his sin with Bathsheba.

King David realised his sins and repented and asked God for forgiveness. This is the kind of example we should be following. The King realised his ways were not right before God so asked God to forgive him.

We should always go to God to ask for His forgiveness anytime we realise our ways are not pleasing to the Lord. He is ever ready to show forth His mercy towards us and cleanse us from our sinful ways.

May we receive the Mercy of God, His compassion and forgiveness so we enjoy His fellowship. God forgive us of our sins and guilt and purify us with your precious blood in Jesus Mighty name.

Let Love Reign in our Lives

If I speak with the tongues of men and of angels, but have not love [for others growing out of God’s love for me], then I have become only a noisy gong or a clanging cymbal [just an annoying distraction].
1 CORINTHIANS 13:1 AMP

Love is the reason for our being here today. Without love God would not have sacrificed His son Jesus to die for us. It is the love of God that brought missionaries to Africa to preach the Gospel, and the fact that some were dying more kept coming.

This is the unconditional love that we should have and share with others. The Scripture says that we can do all the spiritual things but if there is no love in them they are likened to just making noise.

May the Love of God dwell in us so that we can share this love with others. May we be the carriers of the Love of God sharing it with all we come into contact with. God be our help. Love and keep loving one another in the name of Jesus Christ. Amen.

God at Work in you for His Good Pleasure

For it is [not your strength, but it is] God who is effectively at work in you, both to will and to work [that is, strengthening, energizing, and creating in you the longing and the ability to fulfill your purpose] for His good pleasure.
PHILIPPIANS 2:13 AMP

Thanks be to God that He works in the lives of those who have surrendered their lives to Him.

Once our lives are in His hands, He takes charge and close interest in what we do as well as even our desires. It means that Christ empowers you to deliver and your will is influenced by Him. If your will is influenced by the Most High God, your steps become godly directed.

May we recognise the place of God in our lives, may God be the director of our lives, may we be sensitive to the direction and promptings of God. May His strength be made perfect in us in Jesus Mighty name. Amen.

Trust in the Lord and acknowledge His Ways

Trust in and rely confidently on the Lord with all your heart And do not rely on your own insight or understanding. In all your ways know and acknowledge and recognize Him, And He will make your paths straight and smooth [removing obstacles that block your way].

Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding. Do we involve God in our important decision making? Our God knows everything, the end from the beginning so we should be guided by His Word in every step of the way.

We need to acknowledge God in order to receive His guidance. The arm of flesh will certainly fail us so we need to go to God in prayer for His guidance and direction.

May our Trust in the Lord stay firm. May we make God a vital part of everything we do so we receive His guidance to accomplish His purposes for our lives in Jesus Mighty name. Amen

Goodness and Mercy shall follow me

Surely goodness and mercy and unfailing love shall follow me all the days of my life, And I shall dwell forever [throughout all my days] in the house and in the presence of the Lord.
Psalms 23:6 AMPGlory be to God for this blessed day and the opportunity to rejoice and celebrate His goodness today.Thanks be to God for the life of King David and the examples we can pick from his life.Psalm 23 is the most popular psalm and it recounts God’s goodness and lovingkindness to mankind if you allow Him to shepherd your soul.Today’s scripture is the last verse and therefore the conclusion that can be drawn from a life that is fully surrendered to the Lord. God’s provision and protection is adequately available to all who keep Him as their shepherd.Surely may the goodness, mercy and unfailing love of the Lord follow me all the days of my life. May the presence of the Lord be my eternal dwelling place in Jesus’ Mighty name. Amen.

Whatever you do, do it to God’s Glory

So then, whether you eat or drink or whatever you do, do all to the glory of [our great] God.
1 Corinthians 10:31 AMP

Apostle Paul charged the believers in Corinth not to repeat the mistakes that their forefathers did in Israel.

As believers we have a lot of freedom but we need to assess whether our choices are beneficial.

Today’s scripture therefore calls on us to ensure that whatever we do must have God’s love as the basis. It must bring glory to God. We need to keep asking ourselves whether the action we are taking glorifies God.

Lord help us to live to glorify you at all times, May our motives always be based on God’s love. May our actions always honour you the Most High God and be to your glory.Amen
