Study to show yourself an approved workman of God

Study and do your best to present yourself to God approved, a workman [tested by trial] who has no reason to be ashamed, accurately handling and skillfully teaching the word of truth.

Praise God for the admonitions of Apostle Paul which are so relevant today. The scripture for today encourages us to study the Word of God and master it.

We are required to do our best to present ourselves to God as approved workmen of God. The workman of God is one who has taken time to study the Word of God and built his life upon the Word.

Let us be diligent and consistent in our study of the Word of God as it is very vital to our lives as believers. This forms the foundation for us to be able to correctly handle and share the unadulterated Word of God without being ashamed.

Help us Lord to be diligent students of your Word. May our lives be built on the Word of God so we will stand boldly to declare your Word to the World in Jesus Mighty name. Amen

Fight till you complete the race holding on to your faith

II Timothy 4:7 NKJV
[7] I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith.

Praise and glory be to God for this beautiful day and the opportunity to rejoice and be glad in it.

It is believed that Apostle Paul wrote this letter in latter days of his life. When Apostle Paul realised that he was about to join his maker he wrote this letter to encourage young Timothy in his ministry work.

Apostle Paul said he had fought a good fight and finished the race holding on to his faith. The fight of this life is not an easy task and therefore we need to trust in God to keep us going.

The tendency to give up on this race is high that is why we need God to strengthen and encourage us to keep pushing till the end. If we recount the challenges that Apostle Paul encountered, the many near death experiences, we can see that it is his trust in the Lord that enabled him to finish the race set for him. His crown was waiting for him!

May we fight this good fight of life till the end holding on to our faith in the Lord Jesus Christ. May God’s sufficient grace abound towards us so that we can hold on to the end in Jesus Mighty name. Amen.

For God did not give us a spirit of timidity or cowardice or fear, but [He has given us a spirit] of power and of love and of sound judgment and personal discipline [abilities that result in a calm, well-balanced mind and self-control].
