The Spirit of the Lord brings Liberty

Now the Lord is the Spirit, and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is liberty [emancipation from bondage, true freedom].
2 CORINTHIANS 3:17 AMP

Praise and honour be to God for a brand new day and the gift of life. Celebrate the goodness of the Lord.

The Most High God gave us His Son Jesus Christ to die and save us from our sins. Jesus accomplished His assignment and when He was leaving the earth He left us with the Holy Spirit.

The Holy Spirit is a teacher, comforter, counsellor who leads us into all truths. The scripture for the day is therefore confirming the fact that the Holy Spirit brings liberty.

The Holy Spirit’s presence in our lives dispels any evil spirits and sets us free. The counselling, comforting and teaching etc. of the Holy Spirit liberates us from any bondage. Spiritual freedom is attained through the Holy Spirit.

May the Spirit of the Lord deliver us from any bondage and set us free to do greater exploits for the Kingdom of God.May we be empowered by the Holy Spirit to be overcomers in all things. Amen.

Humility, Prayer and Repentance will bring God’s answers

and My people, who are called by My Name, humble themselves, and pray and seek (crave, require as a necessity) My face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear [them] from heaven, and forgive their sin and heal their land.

Thank God for the blessings of a brand new day and the opportunity to call upon His name.

This morning the scriptures are reminding us of the place of God in our lives. We are incomplete and hollow without Him. We need God to make our lives and everything about us to work.

It starts with us humbling ourselves and recognizing that there is a God who owns and has control over the universe. We therefore need to follow the the simple steps outlined in today’s scripture.

Firstly Humble yourself, that is the admission that we are nothing without God. Secondly Pray, this acknowledges that there’s a Supreme Being who has unlimited power to do all things. Thirdly, Seek God’s face is re-emphasizing the fact that God is the one who holds answers to our prayers because He has the whole world in His hands. Finally, Turn from the wicked ways, God loves the sinner but hates sin so we need to repent from our sins to get Him to act on our behalf.

God forgives and hears us when we go through the above, He steps in to heal or restore any situation that we present to Him genuinely.

May we receive the cleansing of the Lord and restoration in all of life including our land and nation and the world as a whole. The Lord be our strength and portion in Jesus Mighty name!Amen.

Jesus Christ brings Peace to the Troubled World

I have told you these things, so that in Me you may have [perfect] peace. In the world you have tribulation and distress and suffering, but be courageous [be confident, be undaunted, be filled with joy]; I have overcome the world.” [My conquest is accomplished, My victory abiding.]

Praise God for the blessings of a brand new day and the opportunity to rejoice and be glad in it.

Jesus in His teachings made this profound statement that in this world, we shall encounter challenges like distress, tribulations and sufferings. The comforting word is that He promised us perfect peace once we connect to Jesus Christ.

Christ Jesus has given us the ability to overcome the challenges, we need to be confident in the Lord and confront the issues with courage since the Greatest of all dwells in us. He has already overcome the world.

Let us be confident in the Lord, Let us be courageous that with the Lord on our side we have conquered. His Word assures us that He has overcome the world.

May the Lord strengthen us to remain and abide in Him so that we can continually overcome the challenges of this world. May the Peace of God be our portion and may we experience victory on every side because we have Christ Jesus. Be blessed.
