Do not store up for yourself material treasures on earth

“Do not store up for yourselves [material] treasures on earth, where moth and rust destroy, and where thieves break in and steal.
Matthew 6:19 AMP

Hallelujah be unto God for this beautiful day and the opportunity to rejoice and be glad in it.

Jesus taught us not to store up for ourselves material treasures here on earth during His Sermon on the Mount. It doesn’t mean that we should not get any property here on earth. The caution is about not putting our trust in the material things we acquire.

What are the things we cherish in our heart? Is God and His Kingdom our most treasured and valuable possession or that sleek vehicle or that gorgeous mansion? Moth and rust can destroy our earthly treasures! Let us reconsider our priorities.

Our treasures should be heaven based where they are eternal, the rust and moth cannot destroy it. We must deeply cherish the things of God, our love and service to God must be the paramount thing.

Father we acknowledge that it is in you that we live and move and have our being, help us to focus on you rather than the things of this world.

Most High God help us to build up resources in Heaven where we shall be rewarded. Grant us the grace to place you first in all things in Jesus Mighty name. Amen.

Honour your Father and Mother so that it will be well with you and you will live long

“Honor your father and mother,” which is the first commandment with promise: “that it may be well with you and you may live long on the earth.”
Ephesians 6:2‭-‬3 NKJV

Praise, glory and honour be unto God for this beautiful day and the opportunity to rejoice and be glad in it.

Honour thy Father and Mother so that you can tap into the blessings God has in stock for you. This scripture has its roots in Exodus 20:12 where God gave the 10 commandments to Moses.

Let’s give reverence and be respectful to our fathers and mothers as the scripture urges us. Let’s keep esteeming them and holding them in the highest honour we can so the Word of God will be fulfilled in our lives.

The verse 3 of this chapter adds that after honouring our parents, we receive God’s blessings and long life too. That it will be well with us and live long here on earth.

May the Lord bless us mightily on all fronts as we honour both our physical and spiritual Fathers and Mothers. May we enjoy greater grace and the blessings of longevity that come from honouring our parents. Amen.

The Earth and all its dwellings belong to God

The earth is the Lord’s , and the fullness of it, The world, and those who dwell in it.
PSALMS 24:1 AMP

Praise, glory and honour be unto God for the blessings of a brand new day, may we encounter His presence continually.

King David continued to acknowledge the greatness of the Lord following His famous praise “The Lord is my shepherd”.

In this verse King David makes a definite statement for all to know that the Lord is the alpha and omega. No one compares to Him.

The earth is the Lord’s, yes He created the earth by the Word of His mouth, there is therefore no controversy over the owner. It is not only the earth but everything that dwell in and on the earth. What a mighty God!

What do we have that we did not receive? We join King David to honour the Lord by ascribing all adoration unto Him for His awesome creations. We submit all our innermost being to your service and say have your way Most High God.

May we continue to abide in your presence and enjoy the goodness of the Lord. Reign in your majesty our great God.May we remain good stewards of the Lord as we take care of the earth in Jesus Mighty name. Amen

For the Knowledge and glory of the Lord shall fill the earth

“But [the time is coming when] the earth shall be filled With the knowledge of the glory of the Lord , As the waters cover the sea.

Praise be to God that He has given unto us a brand new day and the opportunity to rejoice and be glad in it.

Are we are getting ready for the second coming of the Lord? Have we made the Lord our personal Saviour? Is He ruling in our lives? Yes it is important to live completely for Christ as we approach the day when His knowledge and glory will fill the entire earth.

What will you do that day if you do not have a relationship with the Lord? You may be a stranger when the children of God are enjoying and experiencing the glory of God.

Father Lord, May our relationship with you be deepened as we position ourselves to dwell in a land filled with your knowledge and glory. May your knowledge and glory fill us now in Jesus Mighty name. Amen.
