Do Good continually, it Pleases God

Do not neglect to do good, to contribute [to the needy of the church as an expression of fellowship], for such sacrifices are always pleasing to God.

Hallelujah to the Almighty God for this beautiful day, let us rejoice and celebrate His goodness today.

The Lord loves the cheerful giver, He is pleased with the kind hearted, Abel’s choice sacrifice was gladly received by God. It is the same way human beings get excited at the receipt of nice things.

Today the scripture admonishes us to DO GOOD. To be able to do good to people you must be kind hearted, willing to see others progress in their situation and in life. God said that “once you have done for any of these ones, you have done it for me.”

Do Good to the needy of the church as part of fellowship and also to others so our kindness and goodness may minister the Love of Jesus Christ to them. Bible says in Galatians 6:9 that we should not be tired or weary in doing good especially to the household of Faith.

It calls for sacrifice to be able to do good, the selfish part of us will be telling us to hold back and therefore discourage us from doing good. We should let the Love of God and the Word of God be our guide in life so we can continue to do good by supporting and caring for the needs of others.

May we receive the Grace to support the work of ministry. May the Lord bless the efforts we make at doing good to others so we will grow with that attitude in Jesus Mighty name. Amen.

How good and pleasant it is for Brethren to dwell in Unity

Behold, how good and how pleasant it is For brethren to dwell together in unity!
Psalms 133:1 NKJV

Glory and honour be unto God for this beautiful day and the opportunity to rejoice and be glad in it.

We praise God for His Word today that emphasises on the need for unity in the body of Christ. The adage that says “in Unity we stand, divided we fall” tells us that there is no better option for the children of God than to unite in all we do.

Dwelling in Unity fosters growth and the flow of the anointing as a church as the scripture continues in verse 2 onwards.

Psalms 133 is a short chapter but very powerful and insightful in the sense that once this unity is applied in every sphere of our lives we will reap the blessings of the overflow.

May the Lord help us to live together and in Unity. May our hearts and purposes be united with Christ Jesus in the establishment of His Kingdom here on earth. May this unity yield abundance and Fruitfulness in Jesus Mighty name. Amen

The Lord is good, Our Strength and Stronghold

The Lord is good, A strength and stronghold in the day of trouble; He knows [He recognizes, cares for, and understands fully] those who take refuge and trust in Him.

The Lord is good! A strength and stronghold for us in times of trouble! Where your strength and abilities cannot handle, there is an amazing God who is there for you. Very soothing to the ear.

As a loving and caring God, He knows when to step into a situation and save His own, may the Lord always be on hand to redeem us from trouble.

May we continue to trust in Him and take refuge in this great and mighty God. His name is a strong tower that the righteous come to and are safe. Rest under His care and protection and let God be your shield and defence.

Anxiety weighs down the heart but a good Word uplifts

Anxiety in a man’s heart weighs it down, But a good (encouraging) word makes it glad.
PROVERBS 12:25 AMP

Praise, Glory and honour be to God for this beautiful day and the opportunity to rejoice and be glad in it.

Anxiety is so common with us that at the least moment we become anxious. We worry a lot but unfortunately cannot change the situation ourselves in most cases.

In one of Jesus’ teaching He indicated that with our anxiety we are unable to even add one strand of hair to what is on our head. The God we serve takes care of the birds of the air and the lilies of the field, He will continue to take care of us.

As today’s scripture says, anxiety causes us to be disheartened, worried, agitated, down hearted and many more which negatively affects us. The fact is that anxiety does not change the situation! May we desist from being anxious as we just hurt ourselves.

The scripture recommends a good and encouraging word which uplifts the soul and makes the heart glad. We should therefore be embracing good and encouraging words which will gladden the heart and make positive impact on our lives. Let us also look for some good gospel songs to sing along to uplift our souls and encourage ourselves in time of need.

May we receive the Grace to overcome and conquer anxiety in our lives. May God’s Word which encourages and exhorts be ours so we get lifted up in Jesus Mighty name. Amen

Do not be weary in Doing Good

Let us not grow weary or become discouraged in doing good, for at the proper time we will reap, if we do not give in.
GALATIANS 6:9 AMP

Glory be to God for this beautiful day. May His joy remain with us throughout today.

The great apostle admonished the Galatians and the scripture speaks to us today. The charge is to keep doing good, not doing it once and going to sleep.

Do not be tired or grow weary in doing good, in showing love to others, in helping others, in providing for others, in supporting others, in assisting others!

The scripture says that in all these, our mind and focus should not be on the reward we will get in helping others but that we should do whatever it is from the heart. It is the God who sees in secret who will reward us abundantly at the right time. Do not grow tired or weary in serving others.

May Jehovah reward you and smile at you as you keep blessing others. May we not grow weary in doing good in Jesus Mighty name.Glory to God!

Give Thanks to the Lord for He is good

Today’s scripture is encouraging us to give thanks to God because of His goodness to us as a people. God has bestowed His gifts freely upon us.

God showed His lovingkindness to us by sacrificing His only begotten son to die to set us free from sin and death. God continues to love us by shielding and defending us. His lovingkindness gives us our Daily supplies.

We give you thanks Most High God for your goodness and lovingkindness towards us. May we be your goodness and lovingkindness representatives here on earth in Jesus Mighty name. Amen

The Good Shepherd lays down His life for us

I am the Good Shepherd. The Good Shepherd lays down His [own] life for the sheep.

Adoration and honour be to God for the blessings of a brand new day and the opportunity to rejoice and be glad in it. Glory be unto God.

We praise God for giving us His only begotten son to be the shepherd of our souls.

Thanks be to God for the gift of a good shepherd who is caring and loving and will not abandon the sheep to be scattered by the enemy. Thanks be to God for divine protection from the shepherd of our souls.

Thank you Jesus for protecting us from the enemy who comes to kill, steal and destroy. Praise God for the abundant life in Christ Jesus.

Father we are thankful and appreciate greatly the sacrifice made by Jesus Christ,the good shepherd including laying down His life so we the sheep will be saved, remain safe and protected. Thank you Jesus!

Imitate what is good not evil

Beloved, do not imitate what is evil, but [imitate] what is good. The one who practices good [exhibiting godly character, moral courage and personal integrity] is of God; the one who practices [or permits or tolerates] evil has not seen God [he has no personal experience with Him and does not know Him at all].

Glory to God for the gift of discernment, God has given us the ability to identify what is good and what is evil. The admonition from Apostle John is to choose to do right.

It brings us back to the issue of choices in life, we have before us the right to choose to do good as expected of God. To walk in His precepts and obey His Word! This choice is to walk in integrity living right with God.

The alternative is to imitate evil! Deciding to pursue the devil’s agenda, living contrary to the Word of God. Living without any mind that God exists and therefore has no relationship with Him. This should not be your portion as advised by Apostle John in the scripture for today.

Most High God help us to live for Jesus Christ and to obey His Word. May we live to imitate the good He has in His Word. May we exhibit moral courage, personal integrity and godly character in Jesus Mighty name. Amen.

God will perfect and complete His good work in you

I am convinced and confident of this very thing, that He who has begun a good work in you will [continue to] perfect and complete it until the day of Christ Jesus [the time of His return].

Our God is an amazing God and His works are awesome. Whatever He speaks come to pass just like the creation of the universe and of man.

The scripture for the day therefore is reminding us that God will continue to mould and work on us till the 2nd coming of the Lord. That the Lord will perfect and complete His work in us till Christ Jesus comes.

This means that as we surrender our lives to Jesus Christ, His marvellous deeds will be found in us, we shall do exploits under His tutelage, we shall conquer and overcome in His name.

As Christ Jesus works in us there is no option of giving up or backsliding, His Strength is made perfect in our weaknesses. Let’s therefore keep holding on till the day of the Lord.

May Christ Jesus perfect and complete His work in every sphere of our lives. May we experience His awesome power and presence now and forever more in Jesus Mighty name. Amen.

Do Overcome Evil with Good!

Do not be overcome and conquered by evil, but overcome evil with good.
ROMANS 12:21 AMP

The beginning of this chapter talks about the renewal and transformation of our mind and seeking to do what is the perfect and acceptable will of God.

The book of Romans also says that we are more than conquerors through Christ. Today’s scripture says that we should not be overcome and conquered by evil but we should overcome evil with good.

Christ Jesus dwells in us and we are carriers of good news, we are conquerors and overcomers so we should overcome evil. We should not allow evil to defeat us.

Our Most High God help us not to pay back evil with evil but to live peaceably with all men for vengeance is the Lord’s. May we Strive to overcome and conquer evil with good as we obey and fulfil God’s word in Jesus Mighty name. Amen.

Encourage others to Love and Do Good and continue to fellowship with the brethren

and let us consider [thoughtfully] how we may encourage one another to love and to do good deeds, not forsaking our meeting together [as believers for worship and instruction], as is the habit of some, but encouraging one another; and all the more [faithfully] as you see the day [of Christ’s return] approaching.
Hebrews 10:24‭-‬25 AMP

Praise and honour be unto God for this beautiful day. May the joy of the Lord be with us throughout this beautiful day.

We are created in the image of God to do good works. Jesus Christ said we shall do greater works! We therefore honour God for any opportunity to fulfil scripture.

Today’s Word says we should encourage one another to Love and Do Good! This is a summary of the life of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ. Let us therefore practice this firstly ourselves and therefore encourage others to do likewise.

We cannot preach what we are not! Apostle Paul said “imitate me as I imitate Christ”, we should therefore let our lives encourage those around us to live Christlike lives.

And as the verse 25 says we should not neglect the assembly of the brethren, for as we meet we encourage each other to grow in the things of God. Let us always make the effort to fellowship with fellow believers.

May the Lord help us to live according to the Word of God by doing good to others and being an example for many to emulate same. May we not forsake the fellowship of the brethren in Jesus Mighty name.Amen.

Fight the Good Fight of Faith and take hold of Eternal Life

Fight the good fight of the faith [in the conflict with evil]; take hold of the eternal life to which you were called, and [for which] you made the good confession [of faith] in the presence of many witnesses.
1 TIMOTHY 6:12 AMP

Glory and honour be to God for a brand new day, May His presence be with us this day. Celebrate the goodness of the Lord.

The Apostle Paul admonishes young Timothy that it is important to stay in the faith after all is said and done. Fight the good fight of Faith! There are so many things that compete for our attention and it is important that we keep our eyes firmly on Jesus. Focus on the author and finisher of our Faith.

The preceding verse to the above scripture clearly charges the believer to flee from all appearances of sin and pursue righteousness, faith, love, steadfastness and gentleness.

There should be no room to compromise on the salvation we have received when we boldly declared our position in Christ Jesus. Fight the good fight of Faith till the very end so we can take hold of eternal life through Christ Jesus.

May the Lord energise us to pursue this fight relentlessly. May we continue fighting the good fight of Faith till the coming of the Lord, holding on to the eternal life in Christ Jesus in Jesus Mighty name. Amen
