Jesus Christ continued His teachings when the Pharisees approached Him with the intention of tricking Him with the question “which is the greatest commandment in the law”?

Jesus Christ already knew their intent so responded accurately by the power and wisdom of God using the words in today’s scriptures.

The greatest commandment therefore is TO LOVE GOD with all your heart, soul and mind. After this Love your neighbour as yourself.

Lord, we love you with all our hearts, souls and minds, help us to remain loving You and also to love our neighbours unconditionally. May we never cease to love God and our neighbours all the days of our lives in Jesus Mighty name,Amen.

Reconciliation of the Hearts of the Fathers and the Children

And he will turn The hearts of the fathers to the children, And the hearts of the children to their fathers, Lest I come and strike the earth with a curse.”
Malachi 4:6 NKJV

Praise and glory be to God for this beautiful day and the opportunity to rejoice and be glad in it.

In today’s scripture the Prophet Malachi was talking about the coming of the Lord for which it was important for all to prepare. In the chapter he referred to John the Baptist who was preparing the Israelites to receive Jesus.

Today the message is relevant to the 2nd coming of the Lord and it is important that we are all prepared. The scripture admonishes Fathers to reach out to their children and likewise to the children. This process is to sort out any challenges and fully reconcile.

The hearts of the Fathers must turn to their children and likewise the Hearts of the children also turned to their fathers. Just as our heavenly father has forgiven us so do fathers and children do same and patch up all differences.

May the Lord grant great grace to every Father to reach out to their children and demonstrate the Father’s love. May all children rise to honour their fathers in Jesus Mighty name. Amen

Anxiety weighs down the heart but a good Word uplifts

Anxiety in a man’s heart weighs it down, But a good (encouraging) word makes it glad.
PROVERBS 12:25 AMP

Anxiety is so common with us that at the least moment we become anxious. We worry a lot but unfortunately cannot change the situation ourselves in most cases.

In one of Jesus’ teaching He indicated that with our anxiety we are unable to even add one strand of hair to what is on our head. The God we serve takes care of the birds of the air and the lilies of the field, He will continue to take care of us.

As today’s scripture says, anxiety causes us to be disheartened, worried, agitated, down hearted and many more which negatively affects us. The fact is that anxiety does not change the situation! May we desist from being anxious as we just hurt ourselves.

The scripture recommends a good and encouraging word which uplifts the soul and makes the heart glad. We should therefore be embracing good and encouraging words which will gladden the heart and make positive impact on our lives. Let us also look for some good gospel songs to sing along to uplift our souls and encourage ourselves in time of need.

May we receive the Grace to overcome and conquer anxiety in our lives. May God’s Word which encourages and exhorts be ours so we get lifted up in Jesus Mighty name. Amen

Create in me a clean heart, O God, And renew a right and steadfast spirit within me.

Praise be to God for this beautiful day and the opportunity to rejoice and be glad in it.

This is a sincere prayer that was said by King David when he realised he had sinned against God. Admitting that we have sinned is one major humbling step to obtaining God’s forgiveness.

This is a prayer we must continually pray till the coming of the Lord because we at times backslide without even realising it. We however need to be careful not to wilfully sinning because grace abounds. Help us Lord.

Lord Jesus Christ help us to constantly be in tune with the Spirit of God.

Lord Jesus Forgive us of any sins that separate us from you. Create in us a Clean heart and renew the Spirit within us. Let us constantly be in your presence for your enabling power to work on us in Jesus Mighty name. Amen.

Glory and honour to the King of Kings for ushering us into another beautiful day. We give glory to His holy name! May the joy of the Lord be with us throughout this day and evermore.

Galatians 2:20 says we were crucified with Christ Jesus, today’s scripture says if we have been raised with Christ Jesus in His resurrection, then we have the power that dwells in Christ to do exploits.

Our focus and mind should be fixed on Jesus Christ and on things above, spiritual things should be our desire. Heaven should be our desire and target.

Salvation of souls should be our preoccupation and we should desire to populate the Kingdom of God while depopulating the kingdom of the enemy. Our main focus should be that we make it to heaven at the 2nd coming of Jesus Christ.

May we continue to lift up the name of the Lord so that many will be drawn unto the Lord. May our actions, thoughts , deeds and words be a pointer to Jesus Christ. Amen.

The Peace of God passes all understanding, that is what Jesus Christ promised us. We need to connect with Jesus Christ so we can receive the perfect peace that He speaks about.

Perfect Peace from the Lord is available for all those who want to experience it, this peace Jesus promises is not as the peace the world gives us. This is peace that calms our hearts and minds and takes fear away from us.

May you receive the perfect peace that comes from the Lord, the peace that gives us courage and strength for every circumstance. May the peace of God abide with us throughout our lives so we can enjoy God’s calmness no matter the challenge. Amen.

Store God’s Word in your heart to guard against sin

Thank God for the creative ability of the Word of God. Today we see another important phase of the Word, the Word as a defence against sin.

King David said , he hid the Word of God in his heart so he would not sin against the Lord. Psalm 119 spoke a lot about the various abilities of the Word. Today we are also challenged to imitate and follow the Psalmist by accepting the Word of God as a treasure and hiding it in our hearts as a defence or as insurance against sin.

We need to study it and understand so we do what the Word of God requires of us.

May the Lord help us to hide the Word of God in our hearts so we will not sin against the Most High God. May the Word remain as a treasure stored in our hearts forever more in Jesus Mighty name,Amen.

Be Kind, Tender hearted and Forgiving

We praise God for gifting His Son Jesus Christ to the world. He came to die to save ALL mankind. This is the greatest show of Love, to die on someone else’s behalf.

The scripture for today is charging us to be kind to one another, be tender-hearted or compassionate and also forgive one another just as Christ forgave us of our sins and died on our behalf.

Our kindness and compassion for others should take its source from the Lord so we do not struggle to love, show kindness and also forgive one another.

May God Almighty help us to be kind, loving, compassionate, tender-hearted and forgiving in Jesus Mighty name. Help us Lord to be able to forgive others and let go in Jesus Mighty name. Amen

Guard your heart or keep/watch your heart as it is the source of our life issues. The scripture says that we should watch over our hearts with all diligence.

That is we need to strive hard to keep watch over the heart since it is the source of our actions, Jesus once said that it is not what goes into a man that defiles him but what comes from within (Mark 7:21). Let’s therefore be conscious and cautious about what we process in our hearts.Guarding our hearts means loving Jesus and letting His Word dwell in us.

Heavenly Father help us to guard our hearts with all diligence so we can release only things that will edify those around us. May the issues of life that come out of our hearts be a blessing in Jesus Mighty name, Amen.

We thank God that He is caring, when we mess up and go our own ways, He cuddles us and offers us the position of sons and daughters again. An amazing Father and God we have.

The Lord is calling for us to turn from our own ways (wicked and wayward) and come to Him with our hearts and minds completely renewed towards Him. He is ready to receive us into His marvellous light.

Exodus 34:6 talks about God being long suffering and slow to anger, abounding in mercy, this is why we are not consumed immediately we sin but have the opportunity to repent from our sins.

Restore unto us the joy of our salvation and renew the right Spirit within us, cast me not away from your presence O Lord .

Most High God as we come to you with all our heart, welcome us and offer us a place of honour in your Kingdom. Restore our broken fellowship in Jesus Mighty name. Amen.

God assured the people of Israel in this chapter that He was going to remain their God and they will be His people.

God has availed this privilege to us by giving His only begotten son to die to set us free from sin and death and has given us life eternal only if we accept Jesus Christ as our Lord and Saviour.

May we be fully satisfied by the Lord, May every dry and parched aspects of our lives be replenished and refreshed in Jesus Mighty name. May we not faint because the Lord of Lords is our portion in Jesus name. Amen
