He began to teach and say to them, “Is it not written, ‘My house shall be called a house of prayer for all the nations’? But you have made it a robbers’ den.”
Mark 11:17 AMP

Praise and glory be to God for this beautiful day and the opportunity to rejoice and be glad in it.
After Jesus’ triumphant entry he sat to teach in the temple and realised that the House of the Lord was being used as a market place. People engaged in selling and buying of animals for sacrifice as well as others involved in money changing. Jesus drove them out and overturned their tables.
Jesus then taught after His action of driving out the traders and money changers. His message emphasised the fact that His Father’s house should be a place of Prayer. A.place to commune with God. To speak to God and to hear from Him.
This scripture emphasises the importance of Prayer in the life of a child of God. We should keep our conversations with God on going at all times, speaking to and listening to God. Just as Bible urges us to pray without ceasing (1 Thessalonians 5:17)
May our communication with the Heavenly Father be constant without any disruption and interruptions. May we never cease to call upon the Lord and make time to hear from Him in Jesus Mighty name. Amen.
