When they saw the star, they rejoiced exceedingly with great joy. And after entering the house, they saw the Child with Mary His mother; and they fell down and worshiped Him. Then, after opening their treasure chests, they presented to Him gifts [fit for a king, gifts] of gold, frankincense, and myrrh.
Matthew 2:10-11 AMP
Glory be to God for this great day and time, awesome moment to celebrate and adore the King of Kings and the Lord of Lords.
Our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ was born a King so no wonder the wise men had to be led by a star to locate where the King had been born. These men rejoiced greatly at the sight of the star that led them to the birth place of the King. This is the kind of joy that one receives when we come into contact with Jesus Christ. He brings transformation and peace.
The wise men bowed to worship the baby who had been born a King and presented gifts unto Him. In this season, we are reminded by the scripture of our need to Worship the Lord, the creator of the universe. It is also a season of giving especially to the less privileged. The Bible says as we do unto these ones we have done it unto the Lord.
May the Lord be glorified now and forever more in all that we do. May He inhabit our worship and praise! May we be channels of blessing this season and thereafter in Jesus Mighty name. Remain blessed greatly. Amen.
