Be wise as serpents and innocent as doves

“Listen carefully: I am sending you out like sheep among wolves; so be wise as serpents, and innocent as doves [have no self-serving agenda].
Matthew 10:16 AMP

Glory and adoration be unto God for this beautiful day and the opportunity to rejoice and be glad in it.

Today’s scripture is an account of Jesus sending out His 12 disciples and therefore was charging them on how to handle themselves anticipating the opposition out there.

The world still opposes the gospel of Jesus Christ and therefore the charge of being wise to be able to preach and send the gospel to the unreached is important.

The bible says that be wise as serpents and innocent as doves, therefore we need to apply the wisdom of God as we go out with the Gospel. We also have to show forth a Christ like attitude so that we will be received any where we go.
The world will try to put hindrances in our way but God has given us tools( wisdom and humility)to navigate and preach His Word.

May Great Grace locate us so that we can be wise as serpents and innocent as doves as we send the gospel of Jesus Christ to the world today. May the Lord be glorified now and forever more in Jesus Mighty name. Amen

Blessed are the pure in heart for they shall see God.

“Blessed [anticipating God’s presence, spiritually mature] are the pure in heart [those with integrity, moral courage, and godly character], for they will see God.
Matthew 5:8 AMP

Glory and honour be unto God for this beautiful day and the opportunity to rejoice and be glad in it.

Jesus’ first public teaching in His ministry here on earth was the Sermon on the Mount also known as the beatitudes. Someone has described the beatitudes as beautiful attitudes! Once you follow the teachings you are putting on a beautiful attitude that prepares you for eternity. It is also said to be the “Be Attitudes”, calling us into action!

The scripture says that blessed are the pure in heart, that is we need a very clear conscience to serve the Lord. We need our integrity to be at work to qualify as pure in heart. To be pure in heart we must pass the morality and godly character test.

Lord Jesus we come before your throne today asking for grace to be able to live a godly and upright life that exhibits integrity and high standards of morality. May our hearts and minds be pure so we will be called the blessed of the Lord in Jesus Mighty name. Amen.

Let your Light Shine before Others

Let your light shine before men in such a way that they may see your good deeds and moral excellence, and [recognize and honor and] glorify your Father who is in heaven.
MATTHEW 5:16 AMP

Glory and honour be unto God for this beautiful day, may the joy of the Lord carry us through the day.

Light brings illumination and understanding and scatters all forms of darkness including doubts and ignorance. That is the reason why Jesus said we don’t light a candle and put it under a bushel.

Have you lit your Light? Where have you placed it? Is your Light accessible to others? Today’s scripture says that Let your Light Shine before men, this means that you definitely need to have a glowing light on. You must be connected to the Light of this world Jesus Christ to be able to have your Light lit and continue to burn.

The benefit of your Light to others is a glory and testimony to the Most High God. Let the Light therefore shine so brightly that many will see the path of salvation and come to God.

Keep your Light glowing and brighter all the time in Jesus Mighty name, many are following it to Christ.

May your Light which is the life you lead shine brightly and reflect Jesus Christ, may it attract others to follow Jesus Christ. May the Light guide, direct and counsel many people in Jesus Mighty name.

Forgive others as your heavenly Father forgives you

For if you forgive others their trespasses [their reckless and willful sins], your heavenly Father will also forgive you.
MATTHEW 6:14 AMP

Praise and adoration Glory be unto God for this brand new day and the opportunity to rejoice and be glad in it.

The Lord Jesus Christ taught us to pray during His time here on earth. He specifically taught us to pray saying Forgive us our trespasses as we also forgive those who trespass against us.

It is therefore very important that we make every effort to forgive those who do hurtful things against us. That is the way we can also receive forgiveness from the Lord for the numerous times we sin against Him.

May we have that heart to forgive and let go when others offend us as we also look forward to receiving forgiveness from the Most High God. Help us Lord in Jesus Mighty name. Amen.

Be Wise and Build on a Solid foundation

“So everyone who hears these words of Mine and acts on them, will be like a wise man [a far-sighted, practical, and sensible man] who built his house on the rock.
MATTHEW 7:24 AMP

Glory and honour be unto God for this beautiful day, the second day of the 10th month, let us rejoice and be glad in it.

The words that Jesus Christ spoke to the crowds are as relevant today as they were at that time. These are wise sayings that transform lives when applied to one’s life.

What is our reaction to the Word of God? Do we hear but still prefer to do what our carnal minds tell us?

To be a wise person, you must hear the Word of God and act according to what is said or written therein. That is the surest way to build the foundation that will stand.

The one who hears the Word of God and acts on them is likened to a wise person who builds on an unshakeable foundation. May this be your portion in Jesus Mighty name. May every step you take be built on the foundation of the Word of God so it will stand firm.

May every foundation of ours be immovable and unshakeable, may it withstand the test of time, may it be practical, relevant and far sighted. May the Lord help us to accomplish His purposes in Jesus Mighty name. Amen.

Use the Narrow Gate to Everlasting Life

“Enter through the narrow gate. For wide is the gate and broad and easy to travel is the path that leads the way to destruction and eternal loss, and there are many who enter through it. But small is the gate and narrow and difficult to travel is the path that leads the way to [everlasting] life, and there are few who find it.
MATTHEW 7:13‭-‬14 AMP

Glory be to God for this beautiful day and the opportunity to rejoice and be glad in it.

Jesus Christ in His teachings made this loaded statement to guide and direct us in our christian faith and walk. Two gates have been presented to us together with their final destinations to make our choice.

A wide gate that is very easy to walk through, without any restrictions and rules. Life is fun so blow it anyhow for you have only 1 life is the mantra for following the wide gate. Enjoying massively the cares of this world without thinking about your soul and where to spend eternity. Like the rich fool…my soul eat and rejoice! The wide gate offers a free life that can be lived very loosely.

The narrow gate is a difficult path that has full guidance (The Word of God) and statutes. It is the path that requires that we walk according to the provisions of God’s Word and observe to do them to the very end. This is the way that leads to eternal inheritance and life in Christ Jesus. Determine therefore today to follow the Narrow Gate to Everlasting Life.

Lord Jesus I choose the Narrow Gate to Everlasting Life and walk according to your statutes so I remain focused till the coming of the Lord for His elect. I have chosen the path of righteousness and nothing shall take me back so help me Lord in Jesus Mighty name. Amen.

Come to Jesus for absolute Rest for your soul

“Come to Me, all who are weary and heavily burdened [by religious rituals that provide no peace], and I will give you rest [refreshing your souls with salvation]. Take My yoke upon you and learn from Me [following Me as My disciple], for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest (renewal, blessed quiet) for your souls .
Matthew 11:28‭-‬29 AMP

Praise God for the blessings of a brand new, celebrate His goodness today.

God the Father gave His only begotten son to die to set us free from sin and death so Jesus is ever ready to do anything that will set us free.

In today’s scripture He is ready to free us from any burdens and entanglements that will prevent us from continuously loving and serving God. He has offered to make our burdens light if we come to Him.

Jesus Christ is ready to lift that burden off our heads so we don’t break our necks! We look very weary trying to solve issues on our own but we have the Saviour of the world who has our back and is a “burden lifter”. All that we need to do is to come to Him and surrender our lives to Him.

Jesus Christ is ready to give us a refreshing life once we acknowledge His Lordship and come to Him. May every load, burden and any form of weariness be lifted as we present them to Jesus Christ. Amen.

Do unto others what you want done to you

Therefore, whatever you want men to do to you, do also to them, for this is the Law and the Prophets.
Matthew 7:12 NKJV

Praise, Glory and adoration be unto God for this beautiful day and the opportunity to rejoice and be glad in it.

Today’s scripture is part of the teachings of our Saviour Jesus Christ , it follows the famous Matthew 7:7ff teachings where He elaborated that as we ask we receive. That even we humans will not give serpents in place of fish when asked.

It is therefore a call to think about others too, moving from the selfish zone to selflessness where what concerns others is important to us. The question to ask therefore is that will I be happy if this is done to me, if the answer is no, then reconsider that action. The Lord have mercy on us.

May the Lord grant us the grace to be selfless and see to the interests of others. May the Love of God work through us so we can love others like ourselves in Jesus Mighty name. Amen.

Jesus’ Prayer Guide

But when you pray, go into your most private room, close the door and pray to your Father who is in secret, and your Father who sees [what is done] in secret will reward you.
MATTHEW 6:6 AMP

Glory and honour be unto God for this beautiful day and the opportunity to rejoice and be glad in it.

Jesus taught on the procedures to follow in giving and in prayer in this chapter. The words of our scripture for the day are Jesus’ direct words directing on how prayer should be offered.

Jesus preceded this verse by making a point that we need to guard against, not being hypocritical. That is standing at the “street corners” publicly and praying for everyone to see us. Jesus’ recommended guide to prayer is what today’s scripture is telling us.

Prayer is our communication with the Heavenly Father so it is He who should be our target audience and not seeking to please people around us with prayer jargons. Our God is the one who answers prayers so all our attention and focus in prayer should be directed to Him so we can get the expected response.

May our Father in Heaven be our focus and audience in our prayers.May our prayers ascend before the throne of Grace and may the Most High God respond favourably to our prayers in Jesus Mighty name.

Love God with all your heart, soul and mind

And Jesus replied to him, “ ‘You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart , and with all your soul , and with all your mind .’ This is the first and greatest commandment. The second is like it, ‘You shall love your neighbor as yourself [that is, unselfishly seek the best or higher good for others].’
MATTHEW 22:37‭-‬39 AMP

Glory be to God for this beautiful day and the opportunity to rejoice and be glad in it.

Jesus Christ continued His teachings when the Pharisees approached Him with the intention of tricking Him with the question “which is the greatest commandment in the law”?

Jesus Christ already knew their intent so responded accurately by the power and wisdom of God using the words in today’s scriptures.

The greatest commandment therefore is TO LOVE GOD with all your heart, soul and mind. After this Love your neighbour as yourself.

Lord, we love you with all our hearts, souls and minds, help us to remain loving You and also to love our neighbours unconditionally. May we never cease to love God and our neighbours all the days of our lives in Jesus Mighty name,Amen.

The Harvest is Plentiful, Lord send Workers

Then He said to His disciples, “The harvest is [indeed] plentiful, but the workers are few. So pray to the Lord of the harvest to send out workers into His harvest.”
Matthew 9:37‭-‬38 AMP

Praise, honour and adoration be to God for this beautiful day and the opportunity to rejoice and be glad in it.

As Jesus Christ continued with His ministry here on earth and saw the number of people in the towns and villages who needed to hear the Word of God and be guided, He made the statement in today’s scripture. He saw them as helpless sheep that needed shepherds.

The harvest is indeed plentiful in our time too, there are many people around you and I that need the gospel. There are many villages and towns that need the gospel of Jesus Christ.

Jesus Christ commanded the disciples to pray for more workers for the Kingdom of God to be able to reach the lost for the Lord. As we avail ourselves as part of the Kingdom workers let us also pray for more workers for the harvest is indeed plentiful.

Our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ as we avail ourselves as Kingdom workers, we pray also that as the Lord of the Harvest you will bring more workers for the Kingdom business. May the lost be saved as more workers join the Harvest field in Jesus Mighty name. Amen.
