Love your enemies and pray for them

But I say to you, love [that is, unselfishly seek the best or higher good for] your enemies and pray for those who persecute you,
MATTHEW 5:44 AMP

Glory and Hallelujah to the King of Kings. Let us thank God for this opportunity and rejoice and be glad in it.

This scripture is part of the first teachings of Jesus Christ during his earthly ministry. A very difficult directive given by Jesus Christ! Love your enemies and pray for those who persecute you.

This is certainly a difficult thing to do by our own strength, it is the grace of God that can enable us to love our enemies and pray for those who seek our downfall. Lord help us.

May sufficient grace abound towards us such that we can live to love those who seek our destruction, May the Holy Spirit energize us. May the Lord help us to pray for our persecutors and fulfil all righteousness in Jesus Mighty name. Amen.

The Heavenly Father knows your requests before you Pray

“And when you pray, do not use meaningless repetition as the Gentiles do, for they think they will be heard because of their many words. So do not be like them [praying as they do]; for your Father knows what you need before you ask Him.
MATTHEW 6:7‭-‬8 AMP

Praise be to God for this beautiful day and the opportunity to rejoice and be glad in it.

Our God is a prayer answering God. His Word says in Jeremiah 3:33 that we should call on Him and He will show us great and unsearchable things.

Jesus Christ started His ministry by teaching on prayer on the Mountain top. He clearly set the tone and prayer pattern for us. We give thanks to God and adore Him, ask for forgiveness of our sins before we put our petitions before the Father.

We therefore need not to over burden ourselves in prayer by repeating severally our request as captured in the scripture for today.

Let us be assured by today’s scripture that our sincere prayer requests are well known and handled by the Most High God.

Thank you Father for the assurance we have in your Word that our prayer requests are known to you and being processed. Thank you for answered prayers and victories you have given us because we prayed in your name which is above every other name.Amen.

Blessed are the Peacemakers for they shall be called Sons of God

“Blessed [spiritually calm with life-joy in God’s favor] are the makers and maintainers of peace, for they will [express His character and] be called the sons of God.
MATTHEW 5:9 AMP

Glory and Hallelujah to the King of Kings for this beautiful day and the opportunity to rejoice and be glad in it.

Jesus Christ taught these beatitudes as part of the sermon on the mount. It was His 1st teaching session when He started His ministry here on earth.

The beatitudes have been explained as the ” be attitudes” expected of all children of God. Today’s “be attitude” is on being a peace maker. The version of scripture described peacemakers as the makers and maintenance of peace! This means that it is not enough to make peace but to strive to maintain peace.

Bible says that as much as it depends on us we should strive to be at peace with all men! This is the qualification required to be called a child of God. The Peace maker always reflects the character and being of the Most High God.

May we be peacemakers in this world, may we maintain the peace that we create. May we be the true agents of God’s peace that passes all understanding, may we have and live the attitude of Peace. Amen.

Be Ready for Servant Leadership-Jesus our Example

just as the Son of Man did not come to be served, but to serve, and to give His life as a ransom for many [paying the price to set them free from the penalty of sin].”
MATTHEW 20:28 AMP

This is the day that the Lord has made so let’s rejoice and be glad in it. Welcome to the seventh month, Happy New Month!

Today’s scripture is Jesus speaking which is a charge for any follower of Christ to observe. He set an example for us to emulate. The King of Kings and Lord of Lords came down to earth to live a very humble life and die for us so we may have eternal life.

The key to greatness is service! We should all therefore strive to serve in whatever area we find ourselves especially in the house of the Lord.

The Son of God came to serve and lay down His life as a ransom, we are all to therefore roll up our sleeves and be ready to serve in whatever capacity we are called upon. In fact we should not even wait to be called upon but to fish out what we can do for the Master to promote His Kingdom.

Get ready to pay the price in the service of the Lord. Let’s serve the Lord with joy and gladness for we don’t have enough room for the blessing of the Lord.

May we be worthy servants wherever we find ourselves here on earth. May we catch the mantle of sacrificial service and replicate Christ Jesus ‘ example. May the Lord be our help in Jesus Mighty name. Amen

Persist in Prayer and receive answers

For everyone who keeps on asking receives, and he who keeps on seeking finds, and to him who keeps on knocking, it will be opened.
MATTHEW 7:8 AMP

Praise, Glory and Hallelujah to the King of Kings for this beautiful day and the opportunity to rejoice and be glad in it.

This scripture is an assurance that once we are consistent and persistent with God, we shall receive from the Lord.

Permit me therefore to repeat for emphasis that if keep asking, seeking and knocking the answers will come. The scripture says that you receive if you keep asking, you find if you keep seeking and the door is opened if you keep knocking.

May we not relent in persisting in prayer and God will come through for us. May we enjoy the blessings of God as we continue to call on Him in Jesus Mighty name. Blessed day.

Blessed are the Poor in Spirit for they shall inherit the Kingdom of Heaven

“Blessed [spiritually prosperous, happy, to be admired] are the poor in spirit [those devoid of spiritual arrogance, those who regard themselves as insignificant], for theirs is the kingdom of heaven [both now and forever].
Matthew 5:3 AMP

Glory and honour be unto God for this beautiful day and the opportunity to rejoice and be glad in it.

Today’s scripture is one of the Beatitudes Jesus taught during His sermon on the Mount. It actually was His first teaching during His earthly ministry.

They are referred to as beatitudes and some have described as the “Be Attitudes”. Basic prescriptions given by our Lord Jesus Christ. Blessed are the spiritually poor!

The amplified bible says that those who have rid themselves of any form of spiritual arrogance. That is doing the basic things God requires of His children and not esteeming ourselves highly. Avoiding spiritual jargons and gimmicks to project our spirituality.

May our focus be on the Lord Jesus Christ and serve with humility rather than being spiritually arrogant. May we be spiritually prosperous and inherit God’s Kingdom in Jesus Mighty name. Amen

Childlike Humility will make you the greatest in Heaven

and said, “I assure you and most solemnly say to you, unless you repent [that is, change your inner self–your old way of thinking, live changed lives] and become like children [trusting, humble, and forgiving], you will never enter the kingdom of heaven. Therefore, whoever humbles himself like this child is greatest in the kingdom of heaven. Whoever receives and welcomes one child like this in My name receives Me;
MATTHEW 18:3‭-‬5 AMP

Glory and honour be unto God for this beautiful day, let’s celebrate His goodness today.

God’s Kingdom is ready to receive us all. The prerequisites however call for complete repentance on our part. We need to fully surrender our lives to Jesus Christ and trust Him completely. Trust Him like a child who puts his or her trust in the parents to deliver a gift.

The scriptures say that as we humble ourselves like the child, trusting and believing fully, we gain the recognition of being among the greatest in the Kingdom of God.

May we remain humble before the Lord, acknowledging His greatness and giving our all to Him. May we enjoy His Kingdom benefits right on earth here before His coming. Enjoy greater grace. Amen.

Do not Worry or be anxious!

“Therefore I tell you, stop being worried or anxious (perpetually uneasy, distracted) about your life, as to what you will eat or what you will drink; nor about your body, as to what you will wear. Is life not more than food, and the body more than clothing?
MATTHEW 6:25 AMP

Glory, honour and adoration be unto God for the blessings of a brand new day and the opportunity to rejoice and be glad in it.

Do not be anxious about your life! This is Jesus’ statement to us this morning. There are many things that are going through our minds and causing us to worry.

Anxiety about jobs, examination, marriage, accommodation, clothing, meals etc are real situations encountered on a daily basis but Jesus says that we should stay calm and stop worrying as our worrying does not change anything but rather puts us in a state of depression. Give them to Jesus!

May our confidence and absolute trust be in the Most High God, placing our hands into His hand and walking according to His Word. May we be saturated in His Word and Prayer so that worrying and anxiety will not have roots in our lives in Jesus Mighty name. Amen.

Do not store up for yourself material treasures on earth

“Do not store up for yourselves [material] treasures on earth, where moth and rust destroy, and where thieves break in and steal.
Matthew 6:19 AMP

Praise, Glory and honour be unto God for this beautiful day and the opportunity to rejoice and be glad in it.

Jesus taught us not to store up for ourselves material treasures here on earth during His Sermon on the Mount teaching. It doesn’t mean that we should not get any property here on earth. The caution is about not putting our trust in the material things we acquire.

What are the things we cherish in our heart? Is God and His Kingdom our most treasured and valuable possession or that sleek vehicle or that gorgeous mansion? Moth and rust can destroy our earthly treasures!

Our treasures should be heaven based where they are eternal, the rust and moth cannot destroy it. We must deeply cherish the things of God, our love and service to God must be the paramount thing.

Father we acknowledge that it is in you that we live and move and have our being, help us to focus on you rather than the things of this world.

Most High God help us to build up resources in Heaven where we shall be rewarded. Grant us the grace to place you first in all things in Jesus Mighty name. Amen.

HE IS RISEN!!Jesus is Alive forever!

He is not here, for He has risen, just as He said [He would]. Come! See the place where He was lying.
MATTHEW 28:6 AMP

Hallelujah! Hallelujah! Hallelujah

He is RISEN! Yes, He is RISEN!

This is the hope of the believer that one day we shall see Him face to face.

Indeed Christ is Risen! The Power of the Resurrection was such that our Lord Jesus Christ couldn’t remain in the grave. Yes the grave could not hold Him.

He is alive! He is alive! Jesus is alive forever more!

Jesus is indeed Lord of Lords, He conquered death and therefore not found among the dead! Glory and Honour be unto the Lord. His resurrection gifts the believer with power that heals, delivers, transforms, liberates and Saves.
Enjoy your Resurrection Power!

May the Power that raised Christ from the dead be released unto us into our innermost beings right now in Jesus name. May the Resurrection bring newness to our lives, experience new beginnings in Jesus name.

Jesus’ Soul is deeply grieved

Then He said to them, “My soul is deeply grieved, so that I am almost dying of sorrow. Stay here and stay awake and keep watch with Me.”
Matthew 26:38 AMP

Praise and glory be to God for this beautiful day and the opportunity to rejoice and be glad in it.

Today’s scripture gives a picture of the day that preceded Jesus’ death on the cross. Jesus went to Gethsemane with the disciples. He went further with the inner circle disciples Peter, James and John to pray whilst He went to commune with His Father as death on the cross was close to Him.

The human side of Jesus Christ then became sorrowful as it was very evident that He was to be crucified to save the world from sin and death.

Our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ endured this kind of sorrow (His soul deeply grieved) so that we might be saved and delivered from the Kingdom of darkness into God’s marvellous light.

May the sorrow that Jesus Christ endured towards His death be made real to us so we live our lives as people saved by His ultimate sacrifice. May our lives please the Lord in Jesus Mighty name.

Do not worry about tomorrow

“So do not worry about tomorrow; for tomorrow will worry about itself. Each day has enough trouble of its own.
MATTHEW 6:34 AMP

Glory be to God for this beautiful day and the opportunity to rejoice and be glad in it.

God is the creator of the universe and God created us and gave all that pertains to life to His children. We worry when we do not have certain things in this life.

Today’s scripture says worry not about tomorrow because our worries are unable to change anything about tomorrow. This is a statement that Jesus Christ our Saviour made when He taught His disciples how to pray!

Each day has its own issues and the most important thing is to pray and commit the day into the hand of God. Seek His Kingdom and righteousness and all other things shall be given unto us.

Our Heavenly Father help us to live completely for you! Help us to seek your Kingdom and its righteousness so you take care of the anxieties of your children. Be our Lord and help us trust you completely for all things in Jesus Mighty name.
