Be Merciful as your Heavenly Father is Merciful to you

Be merciful (responsive, compassionate, tender) just as your [heavenly] Father is merciful.

Praise and glory be unto God for this beautiful day. Thanks be to God for the opportunity to connect to the Most High God.

Thanks be to God for the example of the Father together with guidance from the Word of God. The mercies of the Lord are what saved us in the first place.

The scripture says that we should be merciful to one another just as our Lord and Saviour is merciful to us.

Have you received the mercies of God? If yes then it is time to also show that love, compassion and tender heartedness to someone.

Are we able to forgive others? This is the example of Jesus Christ, in our sinful states He saved us and overlooked the gravity of our sins. May the Lord help us to emulate Jesus Christ.

Heavenly Father help us to be loving, tender hearted and responsive to others. May we be compassionate towards all we encounter. Grant us the grace to do this in Jesus Mighty name. Amen.

The Lord is Good and Merciful

Oh, give thanks to the Lord , for He is good! For His mercy endures forever.

Praise and Glory be to God for this beautiful day , let us rejoice and be glad in it.

We are thankful to God for seeing this day especially in this year that economies are undergoing serious challenges including meltdowns. We ought to be grateful to be among the living today. Romans 8:28 says All Things work together for our good as called of God. He is at the background working out on some stuff for us.

Our being here today is not our doing but because of the mercies of God! The Lord is good to us and His mercies endure forever. Thank you Lord for being a good God unto us!

Father we give you thanks today and forever more. May your tender mercies always be available for us for without it we cannot survive. Thank you Father for answered prayers in Jesus Mighty name. Amen

Blessed are the Merciful for they shall receive Mercy

“Blessed [content, sheltered by God’s promises] are the merciful, for they will receive mercy.

Today’s scripture is one of the Beatitudes Jesus taught at His teaching service held on the Mount. The beatitudes describes the way of life that Jesus Christ requires of us.

Today’s focus is on being merciful! It is because of God’s mercy that we are saved and are here at this moment. The teaching therefore is challenging us to take up that example of Jesus so that we shall continually receive God’s mercy.

The showing of Mercy qualifies us as Blessed people who shall even receive more mercy. Ephesians 5:1-2 helps us to take further steps towards showing mercy.

May we be blessed greatly as we show mercy to others. May the Great mercies of God abound towards us. May we remain sheltered by God’s promises in Jesus Mighty name.Amen.
