Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations [help the people to learn of Me, believe in Me, and obey My words], baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit,

Praise, adoration and honour be to God for this beautiful day and the opportunity to rejoice and be glad in it.

This is the Great Commission that Jesus Christ gave to the disciples and by extension to every child of God after His resurrection prior to His ascension.

The scripture for today popularly referred to as the Great Commission enjoins all christians to preach the good news of salvation to all and at all times.

Jesus Christ assured the disciples that all authority had been given to Him by His Father and this is what He is also passing on for the fulfilment of the Great Commission.

The great commission requires that we preach to people, teach them, get them baptized by the Church and follow up on them to ensure they remain and grow in Christ Jesus.

Father we pray for grace to be able to fulfil the great commission in accordance with the Word of God. May we be preachers and teachers of your Word to get your Word established in the lives of those we preach to in Jesus Mighty name. Amen.

Your Light and Brightness is Shining and Rising to Nations

Nations will come to your light, And kings to the brightness of your rising.
Isaiah 60:3 AMP

Praise and honour be unto God for this beautiful day and the opportunity to rejoice and be glad in it.

Isaiah 60 starts with the admonition to arise and shine for your Light has come and the glory of the Lord is upon you. Enjoy walking under the glory of God.

The scripture continues to talk about deep darkness that has fallen upon the people but the child of God will continue to shine forth the Light of God.

Today’s scripture therefore makes it clear that because of the darkness, Nations will come to your Light to receive illumination. That is they will come for guidance and direction.

Kings and distinguished people will see your brightness rising and will come to your Light to be connected to the Light of the world.

May your Light Shine continually to provide illumination to nations and kings. May your Light be a magnet for the Kingdom of God in Jesus Mighty name.
