Love abundantly and live a pure and blameless life

And this I pray, that your love may abound more and more [displaying itself in greater depth] in real knowledge and in practical insight, so that you may learn to recognize and treasure what is excellent [identifying the best, and distinguishing moral differences], and that you may be pure and blameless until the day of Christ [actually living lives that lead others away from sin];

Today’s scripture is a prayer by Apostle Paul for the church in Philippi. I believe that we as the church today also need this king of Prayer and action.

That we will abound in the love of God and be unified. That we will love because of our greater insight and understanding in the things of God. That our love will not be based on feelings but on real knowledge and practical insight into the things of God.

The scriptures also urge us to live a morally upright life so that our lives will be examples to draw others to Christ. A pure and blameless life to attract others to follow Jesus Christ.

May the Lord help us to love one another with understanding and the knowledge of Christ. May our lives be pure and blameless so that it will attract others to follow Jesus Christ. Grant us this grace O Lord. Amen.

That we may know Jesus and the Power of His Resurrection

And this, so that I may know Him [experientially, becoming more thoroughly acquainted with Him, understanding the remarkable wonders of His Person more completely] and [in that same way experience] the power of His resurrection [which overflows and is active in believers], and [that I may share] the fellowship of His sufferings, by being continually conformed [inwardly into His likeness even] to His death [dying as He did]; so that I may attain to the resurrection [that will raise me] from the dead.

Praise and glory be to God for this beautiful day and the opportunity to rejoice and be glad in it.

God the Father gifted us with Salvation through His only begotten son who died and resurrected for our sake.

The question that comes up is “do we know Jesus that well and what does His death mean to us”? The Apostle Paul makes this clearer in the Philippi church. We need to know Jesus Christ intimately ourselves.

We need to have an experiential knowledge of Him and the power of His resurrection. This requires a closer walk with the Lord in the study of His Word and in prayer. As we do this continually, we become intimate with the Lord and begin to personally experience His presence and power.

May we have a closer walk with the Lord and experience His resurrection power. May His presence abide with us all the days of our lives in Jesus Mighty name. May we know Jesus more and more🙏

Esteem Others as More Important

Do nothing from selfishness or empty conceit [through factional motives, or strife], but with [an attitude of] humility [being neither arrogant nor self-righteous], regard others as more important than yourselves.

Glory be to God for this beautiful day and the opportunity to rejoice and be glad in it.

The main heading for the chapter is Be Like Christ, the verse therefore seeks to admonish us all to do things as Christ Jesus would have done.

Act selflessly with humility esteeming others and valuing them above ourselves. It is humility and love that will make us place others in high esteem. Regarding others as important will make us share the gospel of Jesus Christ with them no matter the state we find them in.

May the Lord help us to abide by His Word and live to fulfil them. May we esteem and value others as Christ Jesus would have done in Jesus Mighty name. Amen.

Thanks be to God that He works in the lives of those who have surrendered their lives to Him.

Once our lives are in God’s hands, He takes charge and is very interested in what we do. It means that Christ empowers you to deliver and your will is influenced by Him. If your will is influenced by the Most High God, your steps become godly directed.

May we recognise the place of God in our lives, may God be the director of our lives, may we be sensitive to the direction and promptings of God. May His strength be made perfect in us in Jesus Mighty name. Amen.

Today’s scripture requires us to have the mind and attitude of Christ as believers. The Apostle Paul said we should imitate him as he imitated Christ Jesus.

He charges the church to pattern our lives after Christ Jesus, using Him as our example. We should therefore be asking ourselves at every stage what would Christ have done in that circumstance.

Help us Lord in Jesus Mighty name to live and pattern our lives after Christ Jesus. May the humility of Jesus Christ be our example to follow. May we possess the mind of Christ now and forever more in Jesus Mighty name. Amen.

We serve an infinite God who owns and controls the entire universe. He is the embodiment of ALL THINGS!

This morning Apostle Paul makes it clear to us that this amazing God shall supply every need of ours. He is the ultimate supplier who does not disappoint, He operates with His timelines which are determined to work for our good. We should therefore be patient and follow this Almighty God as He deals generously with us.

Thank you Lord Jesus for my immeasurable supplies that are in you and being channelled to me. Thank you Father for the overflowing supplies according to your riches in glory. I stand amazed and overjoyed waiting to appropriate all you have in stock for me in Jesus Mighty name. Amen.

Jesus Humbled Himself to Death on the Cross

After He was found in [terms of His] outward appearance as a man [for a divinely-appointed time], He humbled Himself [still further] by becoming obedient [to the Father] to the point of death, even death on a cross.

Glory and honour be unto God for this beautiful day. Hallelujah to the King of Kings!

The Son of God became a ransom for us. He sacrificed His life for us so that we might live. Thanks be to God for this great sacrifice, Jesus became obedient all the way to Death on the Cross so that we may have eternal life. He made himself of no reputation so He could save us. Jesus came as a bond servant to take our place.

We should always remember that our Lord Jesus Christ had to go through this suffering to make room for us to be saved.

The scripture says that He humbled Himself even unto death, it is not an easy thing, let us think about a little sacrifice we may have made for someone. Can it be compared to this great sacrifice of leaving His mighty throne and Glory and coming to die a shameful death on the cross?

Father we say a very big thank you for giving us your only begotten son. Thank you Jesus Christ for being obedient to die to save us. May these significant landmarks propel us to live completely for Christ. Amen.

Choose Prayer and Thanksgiving

Do not be anxious or worried about anything, but in everything [every circumstance and situation] by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, continue to make your [specific] requests known to God.
PHILIPPIANS 4:6 AMP

Hallelujah to God for the gift of life and a blessed day in the new year to celebrate the goodness of the Lord in the land of the living.

Apostle Paul charged the church in Philippi to look up to God for all solutions. The cares of life can swallow us up and we may become depressed and frustrated in life.

During the ministry of Jesus, He taught us that even in our anxious moments there is absolutely nothing that we can do, we cannot even add a strand of hair to what has been given us from above.

The charge by Apostle Paul therefore to pray in whatever situation we find ourselves is the answer we need to move on in this life. We should make our requests known to God the Father who will sort us out!

The scripture says that we should continue to make our requests known to God through our prayers, petitions and thanksgiving. We therefore have to pray all types of prayers and also be consistent in our prayer.

May the Lord help us not to saturate ourselves in anxiety but to call upon His name in all situations, believing that He is God and He will come through for us in Jesus Mighty name. Amen.

Rejoice in the Lord Always

Rejoice in the Lord always [delight, take pleasure in Him]; again I will say, rejoice!

Hallelujah to the King of Kings for this beautiful day, this is the day that the Lord has created and we should be glad in it and rejoice.

Rejoice today and forever more. Let nothing cut short your rejoicing. The joy of the Lord is our strength. This is a directive from Apostle Paul for us to continually rejoice in the Lord! Rejoice and rejoice again!

May we walk in this strength, rejoicing and celebrating the goodness of the Lord.

May we be filled with the joy of the Lord.May nothing stand between us and our rejoicing in the Lord. May His endless joy fill us now and forever more. Hallelujah!
