The Fear of the Lord is the beginning of Knowledge

The [reverent] fear of the Lord [that is, worshiping Him and regarding Him as truly awesome] is the beginning and the preeminent part of knowledge [its starting point and its essence]; But arrogant fools despise [skillful and godly] wisdom and instruction and self-discipline.

Glory and honour be unto God for the blessings of a brand new day, may we experience His presence continually.

The fear of the Lord, giving reverence to God, committing your life fully to His service, regarding God as our true source of life is the beginning of Knowledge.

The Bible made this statement a few times and I believe it is for the sake of emphasis due to its importance.

The fear of the Lord brings to us wisdom and instructions for life, it also imparts unto us self discipline.

May we Fear the Lord so that we get empowered by the wisdom and knowledge of God to do greater exploits for the Kingdom of God and draw others into the Kingdom. Amen

Anxiety weighs down the heart but a good Word uplifts

Anxiety in a man’s heart weighs it down, But a good (encouraging) word makes it glad.
PROVERBS 12:25 AMP

Praise, Glory and honour be to God for this beautiful day and the opportunity to rejoice and be glad in it.

Anxiety is so common with us that at the least moment we become anxious. We worry a lot but unfortunately cannot change the situation ourselves in most cases.

In one of Jesus’ teaching He indicated that with our anxiety we are unable to even add one strand of hair to what is on our head. The God we serve takes care of the birds of the air and the lilies of the field, He will continue to take care of us.

As today’s scripture says, anxiety causes us to be disheartened, worried, agitated, down hearted and many more which negatively affects us. The fact is that anxiety does not change the situation! May we desist from being anxious as we just hurt ourselves.

The scripture recommends a good and encouraging word which uplifts the soul and makes the heart glad. We should therefore be embracing good and encouraging words which will gladden the heart and make positive impact on our lives. Let us also look for some good gospel songs to sing along to uplift our souls and encourage ourselves in time of need.

May we receive the Grace to overcome and conquer anxiety in our lives. May God’s Word which encourages and exhorts be ours so we get lifted up in Jesus Mighty name. Amen

Death and Life lie in the Power of the Tongue

Death and life are in the power of the tongue: and they that love it shall eat the fruit thereof.

Praise and honour be to God for a brand new day and leading us to the last day of the month. May the joy of the Lord be our portion today.

Words are powerful, they either make or break you. The scripture for the day is charging us to pay attention to the words that we utter. They carry the Power to make or unmake us. We need to choose the right words at all times.

The words that we speak should therefore contain life, they must be encouraging, reassuring, positive and bringing solutions. Such words bring life to any dead situation.

Let’s utilise the authority and power given us to use words to make a positive impact on the world. Our words should bring light to a dark world. People should yearn to hear from us because anytime we speak, joy and peace are experienced. May this be your portion in Jesus Mighty name.

May we always seek the Lord to bring restoration and calm to chaotic situations. May our words always bring life, peace,joy and light to the world in Jesus Mighty name. Amen.

Guard your heart with all Diligence

Watch over your heart with all diligence, For from it flow the springs of life.

PROVERBS 4:23 AMP

Praise and Glory be to God for this beautiful day may His holy name be exalted and glorified.

Guard your heart or keep/watch your heart as it is the source of our life issues. The scripture says that we should watch over our hearts with all diligence.

That is we need to strive hard to keep watch over the heart since it is the source of our actions, Jesus once said that it is not what goes into a man that defiles him but what comes from within (Mark 7:21). Let’s therefore be conscious and cautious about what we process in our hearts.Guarding our hearts means loving Jesus and letting His Word dwell in us.

Heavenly Father help us to guard our hearts with all diligence so we can release only things that will edify those around us. May the issues of life that come out of our hearts be a blessing in Jesus Mighty name, Amen.

Honouring Mothers

Strength and dignity are her clothing and her position is strong and secure; And she smiles at the future [knowing that she and her family are prepared]. She opens her mouth in [skillful and godly] wisdom, And the teaching of kindness is on her tongue [giving counsel and instruction].

Glory and honour be unto God for this beautiful day and the opportunity to specially celebrate Mothers.

Today’s scripture captures the strength and qualities that our mothers exhibit. The basis of this chapter is the fear of the Lord that culminates in the excellent woman described.

We acknowledge the the excellent and industrious woman of Proverbs 31 and present all women and mother figures before your throne today. May the strength and dignity of God continue to clothe our mothers.

Today we celebrate Mothers for among others the qualities you have endowed them….hard work, respect for spouse, foresight and insight, encouragement, care for others, love for children and wisdom in handling money and managing the home. May all Mothers be praised for the Great blessing they are to many.

Mothers deserve Honour and to be celebrated!

May the Lord honour every Mother and potential mother. May greater grace be multiplied unto all Mothers and Women. May the joy of the Lord remain with Mothers now and forever more in Jesus Mighty name.

Iron Sharpens Iron, Man Sharpens Man

As iron sharpens iron, So one man sharpens [and influences] another [through discussion].
PROVERBS 27:17 AMP

Glory and honour be to God for this beautiful day and the opportunity to rejoice and be glad in it.

Iron sharpens iron! The iron that is able to sharpen must be sharp, a blunt iron cannot sharpen the other. We must stay as sharp irons and interact with other sharp irons so we can sharpen and be sharpened as well.

There is an adage that says show me your friend and I will show you your character. It is very true that as people relate closely, they influence each other. What kind of influence do we have on those we relate to? Our influence should be godly and positive, this is what we should give and receive!

May we remain sharpened by the Word of God as we sharpen and shape each other positively with our godly influence. May no blunt iron be able to negatively influence us. May the Lord help us to stay as relevant influencers in our generation in Jesus Mighty name. Amen.

Do not be wise in your own eyes,Fear the Lord and depart from evil

Do not be wise in your own eyes; Fear the Lord [with reverent awe and obedience] and turn [entirely] away from evil.

The scripture admonishes us that we should not be wise in our own eyes as that does not lead us anywhere.

The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom. It is the fear of the Lord that will bring the needed wisdom that we require to excel on all fronts and enjoy grace.

To fear the Lord requires that we give our utter most reverence to the Lord and totally obey Him. It also requires us to completely turn away from evil and any appearance of evil.

May the Lord help us to accomplish His purposes in Jesus Mighty name, may His grace be sufficient for us to live completely for Christ all the days of our lives in Jesus Mighty name. Amen

Reverence for God is far important than Beauty and Charm

Charm and grace are deceptive, and [superficial] beauty is vain, But a woman who fears the Lord [reverently worshiping, obeying, serving, and trusting Him with awe-filled respect], she shall be praised.

Praise and glory be to God for this beautiful day and the opportunity to rejoice and be glad in it.

We honour God for the opportunity to see this day. Today is International Women’s Day and we appreciate all the women in our lives and the numerous things they do for us.

The scripture says that beauty and charm are superficial, these are important but most important is a woman who fears the Lord. By extension a man who reverences the Lord stands tall in the sight of God because the good looks are temporal.

The fear of the Lord is to give Him our worship continually, obey His Word and abide by them, serve Him continually and trust Him completely.

May we continually worship and reverence the Most High God. May our total trust remain in Him. May we obedient to His Word and abide by them all the days of our lives in Jesus Mighty name. Amen.

A friend that sticks closer than a brother

A man that hath friends must shew himself friendly: and there is a friend that sticketh closer than a brother.
Proverbs 18:24 KJV

Praise be to God for this beautiful day, May we experience the joy of the Lord throughout the day.

Hallelujah! It is important that we remain as friendly as we can so that we can walk with our friends in truth.

The Message Bible says “friends come and friends go”, what role do we play in our friends going, as much as it depends on us let us strive to live peaceably with all men. You must make the effort to be friendly though that may not prevent some friends from leaving due to certain reasons.

Make every effort to be that friend that sticks closer than a brother or to be friendly enough to walk with the friend that sticks closer than a brother. The blessings of walking closely with a good friend include encouraging one another and sharpening one another.

Our major friend who sticks closer than a brother is Jesus, He died for us so that we may have eternal life.

May we stick to Jesus Christ all the days of our lives. May we use our friendliness to minister Christ Jesus to others. Have a blessed day. Amen.

Commit your Works to the Lord and they shall be established

Thanks be to God for His continuous guidance and leadership, anything we place in His hands, He preserves and nurtures.

Today’s scripture says that we should commit our works to the Lord, it literally means surrendering our all to the Lord. What are our works that we think we can handle on our own? Submit them today into the hands of the Master and trust Him to lead the way. Trust Him to guide you !

Let us place our absolute trust in the Lord and look out for His outputs for us. Lord we commit our works and plans into your hands.

May the faithful God we serve provide the direction and guidance we need for our plans to succeed. May our plans and works succeed with Master Jesus in charge, Amen.

Trust in the Lord Completely for your Safety

The fear of man brings a snare, But whoever trusts in and puts his confidence in the Lord will be exalted and safe.

Glory and honour be unto the Lord for placing us in a brand new day. We will rejoice and celebrate His goodness.

The bible says the arm of flesh will fail us! Therefore we should be guided by the fact that our trust should not be in any man as man can fail you.

Today’s scripture also states that the fear or reverence of man will bring a snare! Mortal man will try to do something for you but this cannot be compared to placing that trust in the Lord. On the other hand, man can nicely disappoint you big time. Trust God absolutely!

Let the Lord be in charge of every sphere of your life and see the difference. There is absolute safety in trusting the Lord. He never fails when we place our confidence in Him.

May we trust in the Lord and place our confidence in Him, may we receive safety from the Lord and be exalted on all fronts. May Jehovah God come through for us at all times as we put our trust in Him. Blessed weekend. Amen

Pursue Righteousness and Loyalty to obtain Life and Honour

He who earnestly seeks righteousness and loyalty Finds life, righteousness, and honor.

Praise , honour and adoration be to God for this beautiful day, may the joy of the Lord be with you throughout your day.

Righteousness, Life and Honour are three important ingredients of life here on earth that positions one also for life eternal in Jesus Christ.

The Bible is telling us today that in order to find Life and Honour, we need to earnestly pursue righteousness. Righteousness is living right with God, that is obeying His commandments and observing to do all that is contained in the Word of God.

Therefore to possess these important virtues of life, follow hard after righteousness, purpose in your heart that you will always be in right standing with the Lord so you can fully obtain His righteousness, Life and Honour.

May the Lord help us to follow hard after His Word and live a godly and upright life to be found righteous in His sight thereby receiving Life and Honour in Jesus Mighty name. Amen.
