God is not Slow, He is awaiting our Repentance

The Lord does not delay [as though He were unable to act] and is not slow about His promise, as some count slowness, but is [extraordinarily] patient toward you, not wishing for any to perish but for all to come to repentance.
2 PETER 3:9 AMP

Praise and glory be to God for this beautiful day and the opportunity to rejoice and be glad in it.

In today’s scripture Apostle Peter had to remind the Church that the coming of the Lord was not a joke so people cannot choose to be ready at their own time.

As the same chapter said, a day is like a thousand years and a thousand years like a day before the Lord. His coming shall be like a thief in the night. most of the endtime signs that the Bible spoke about are happening around us.

It is therefore very important that you and I are ready now for the coming of the Lord. We should not be complacent that the promise of the Lord’s coming is not going to happen any time soon. He is not slack concerning His promises.

We should therefore treat these times as the moment He has given us to prepare our hearts and minds to be with Him in heaven. He is expecting all of us to come to repentance by having an active working relationship with Jesus Christ.

May the Word of the Lord indwell us so we meditate on His coming and not take His patience for granted. May the Lord help us to be ready for His coming. Amen.

Repent,be Baptized and receive the gift of the Holy Spirit

And Peter said to them, “Repent [change your old way of thinking, turn from your sinful ways, accept and follow Jesus as the Messiah] and be baptized, each of you, in the name of Jesus Christ because of the forgiveness of your sins; and you will receive the gift of the Holy Spirit.
Acts 2:38 AMP

Hallelujah! Praise and glory be to God for this beautiful day and the opportunity to rejoice and be glad in it.

On the day of Pentecost, Apostle Peter addressed the crowd that had gathered and when the people asked of what steps they had to take, Apostle Peter answered with today’s scripture.

Peter’s response is an answer to questions that may be lingering on the minds and hearts of many a people today.

The answer is Repent from your sinful ways, turn completely to the Lord Jesus Christ, get baptized and receive His free gift of the Holy Spirit. Locate a Bible believing church around your vicinity and the Pastor will help you through this.

May our hearts and minds be fully surrendered to the Lord Jesus Christ. May we receive the gift of the Holy Spirit to empower and guide us through our walk with the Lord. May the Lord remain our Shepherd,Amen.

Repentance without Regrets brings Salvation

For [godly] sorrow that is in accord with the will of God produces a repentance without regret, leading to salvation; but worldly sorrow [the hopeless sorrow of those who do not believe] produces death.
2 CORINTHIANS 7:10 AMP

Glory be to God for this beautiful day and the opportunity to rejoice and be glad in it.

Today’s scripture is an admonition from Apostle Paul to the church at Corinth. The things of this world that make us grieve should point us to the Most High God.

Though we may grieve at some point in life, it should not be like we are hopeless and have been condemned to die hopelessly.

Apostle Paul says that even in the moment of grief and sorrow, we should see it as an opportunity for God to be glorified and for us to consolidate our salvation in Christ Jesus. That is what we stand for as children of God, every situation we find ourselves in should have to end up pointing people to Christ for salvation.

May the Lord be our strength and may His grace be sufficient for this beautiful day, may His presence be with you throughout your life in Jesus Mighty name. Amen.

Repent and Return to God

So repent [change your inner self–your old way of thinking, regret past sins] and return [to God–seek His purpose for your life], so that your sins may be wiped away [blotted out, completely erased], so that times of refreshing may come from the presence of the Lord [restoring you like a cool wind on a hot day];
ACTS 3:19 AMP

Hallelujah to the King of Kings for this beautiful day and the opportunity to rejoice and be glad in it.

Today’s scripture is part of the Sermon preached by Apostle Peter after the healing of the lame man at the beautiful gate. Peter used the opportunity to present the gospel to the crowd that gathered in amazement at the healing of the lame man.

The Apostle made it clear that Jesus Christ whom they ridiculed and killed is the source of the power by which the lame man had been healed.

The simple message therefore was for them to repent and Return to the Lord so they may be forgiven of their sins and enjoy the presence of the Lord.
This message is relevant to us today, Jesus Christ is ready to accept us and forgive us of all our sins if we come to Him to forgive us and cleanse us.

May we all repent and Return to God for His forgiveness and cleansing. May we encounter His presence and restoration in Jesus Mighty name. Amen.

Produce Fruits of Repentance

So produce fruit that is consistent with repentance [demonstrating new behavior that proves a change of heart, and a conscious decision to turn away from sin];
MATTHEW 3:8 AMP

Praise, glory and honour be unto God for this beautiful day and the opportunity to rejoice and be glad in it.

True repentance comes with changes that must be seen by all. There must be a change of heart that will reflect in change in attitudes.

True repentance must show our conscious turn away from evil and any appearance of evil. Repentance should shun sin and show it openly. People should be able to testify that we are a people who are truly repented.

May our speech, our acts, habits, attitude and way of life exhibit fruits of Repentance. May our fruits of Repentance be consistent till the coming of the Lord. Help us Lord🙏🏾

Confession, Forgiveness & Cleansing

If we [freely] admit that we have sinned and confess our sins, He is faithful and just [true to His own nature and promises], and will forgive our sins and cleanse us continually from all unrighteousness [our wrongdoing, everything not in conformity with His will and purpose].
(1 JOHN 1:9 AMP)

Thank God for the shed blood of Jesus Christ on Calvary! Salvation made simple! Open to all who are ready and desire it.

Bible says that All have sinned and fallen short of the glory of God (Romans 3:23). Again Bible states that the wages of sin is death but the gift of God is eternal life through Christ Jesus (Romans 6:23).

Today’s scripture is therefore a sure way of escaping the wages of sin. Since all of have sinned and know the consequences thereof, let’s utilise the provision in today’s scripture.

Confess your sins and receive God’s forgiveness and cleansing. All that is required is to admit that I am a sinner and God’s grace is available to save if I confess.
Salvation is free so beloved, confess your sins today, receive God’s forgiveness and be cleansed from all unrighteousness. God is good.

A Clean Heart and the Right Spirit

Create in me a clean heart, O God, And renew a right and steadfast spirit within me.
(PSALM 51:10 AMP)
The bible says if we confess our sins God is just and righteous to forgive us and cleanse us from all unrighteousness. The might King David acknowledged that and went to God when he realised he had out of God’s ways.
This is a great privilege we have as children of God, God is ready to restore us to our position in Christ in case we stumble and fall.
What is required of us is acknowledge our sinful state and with a repentant and contrite heart come to the Lord for forgiveness and restoration.
May we not remain in sin because of pride or shyness but come boldly to the throne of Grace to obtain mercy and help.
May the Lord fix a clean heart and renew the right Spirit within us in Jesus Mighty name. Sing the song ” Create in me a clean heart Oo Lord and renew the right Spirit within me. Cast me not away from thy presence ooh Lord🎼🎵🎶…..”
Enjoy God throughout the week.

Repent and Receive God’s Visitation

and My people, who are called by My Name, humble themselves, and pray and seek (crave, require as a necessity) My face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear [them] from heaven, and forgive their sin and heal their land.
(2 CHRONICLES 7:14 AMP)

Praise be to God for a brand new day. The scripture for the day says that as God’s people if we turn away from our wicked ways and pray to Him for forgiveness, He will hear us.
Repentance and Humility are the key inputs here for us to receive God’s forgiveness and healing.
May our hearts be receptive to God’s word that is soften any hardened heart.
As the called and people of God, our desire should be to stay in constant touch with God. Anything that works against this should therefore be dealt with with speed and much attention so we don’t miss our relationship with God.
May the healing of God whether spiritual, emotional, physical, financial and social be your portion now and forevermore as you come before Him this morning. May every land/situation of yours receive God’s perfect touch in Jesus Mighty name. Blessed Sunday.
