Pursue Peace with everyone in addition to righteous living

Continually pursue peace with everyone, and the sanctification without which no one will [ever] see the Lord.
HEBREWS 12:14 AMP

Glory be to God for this beautiful day and the opportunity to rejoice and be glad in it.

Pursue, follow hard after or make every effort to live peaceably with all men. The words used indicate that it does not come easily to be at peace with all men.

The scripture says that as we do our utter most best to live peaceably with all, it should be coupled with righteousness and sanctification without which we cannot see the Lord. We therefore need to attach equal importance to pursuing peace with everyone like we pursue righteousness so that we can see the Lord.

May the Lord help us to live a sanctified life that exhibits His righteousness while pursuing peace with all men and women in Jesus Mighty name. Amen

The Righteous live by Faith

For in the gospel the righteousness of God is revealed, both springing from faith and leading to faith [disclosed in a way that awakens more faith]. As it is written and forever remains written, “The just and upright shall live by faith.”

Halleluyah! Praise and glory be to God for this beautiful day and the opportunity to rejoice and be glad in it.

The gospel is the righteousness of God and therefore as followers of Jesus Christ who is an embodiment of the Gospel, we cannot but pursue righteousness.

The child of God must therefore live right with God, our salvation package comes along with righteousness and we cannot opt out else we lose our right standing with Christ.

Living right with God takes its source from our Faith in the Most High God. God receives us as righteous because of our Faith in Him. Certainly the righteous and just live by Faith.

May we encounter the righteousness of God revealed by the Gospel. May we be saved by God and live a righteous life by Faith. May we not depart from absolute Faith in the Most High God. Amen

Many are the afflictions of the righteous but God delivers His own

Many hardships and perplexing circumstances confront the righteous, But the Lord rescues him from them all.

Today’s scripture makes it clear that the Christian journey is not an all smooth ride. It brings to the fore that we may encounter challenges on the way. There may be some potholes (difficulties and challenges) but God will be there for us.

God is on hand to turn all the tough and rough paths into a smooth one for us as we walk in obedience to His Word.

The most important step here is to ensure that our walk with God is always in right standing. Our hearts and lifestyles should be closely following the Lord. God will therefore step into the situation and deliver us from any form of affliction.

May the Lord calm every storm in our lives. As the righteous children of God, may the Lord deliver us from any form of affliction and perplexing situations in Jesus Mighty name. Amen.

The Father of the Righteous rejoices

The father of the righteous will greatly rejoice, And he who sires a wise child will have joy in him.
Proverbs 23:24 AMP

Hallelujah and glory be to God for this beautiful Sunday. May we rejoice and celebrate His goodness today.

The few verses leading to today’s scripture indicates the need to listen to our fathers and not to despise our mothers. It further emphasises the need to buy the truth, get wisdom, understanding and discipline.

These are key decisions and directions which when followed leads to the living of a God filled and disciplined life. The father of the child who lives in the way of the Most High God therefore pleases God and the child becomes a wise child. May we go to God for wisdom for life.

May we be children that give our Father above great joy because of the choice to live a righteous life. May we remain wise children that delight the Heavenly Father in Jesus Mighty name. Amen

The Eyes of the Lord are upon the Righteous,He listens to them

“For the eyes of the Lord are [looking favorably] upon the righteous (the upright), And His ears are attentive to their prayer (eager to answer), But the face of the Lord is against those who practice evil .”

Thanks be to God that He cares about us and keeps His eyes on those who walk uprightly. God also inclines His ears to the prayers of the righteous.

Let us separate ourselves from any evil that will make the Lord distance Himself from us, let us make every effort to walk right in the eyes of the Lord.

May the Lord look favourably towards us all the days of our lives in Jesus Mighty name. May our prayers ascend to His presence as His ears are attentive to us. Glory to God! Amen.
