Thanks be to God for His Word today that emphasises the importance of God in our lives. In the scripture the deer pants for water for its survival. That is the way as humans also need God in our lives.

The deer may be panting for water because it may be a dry season when the streams are dry or a predator may be chasing it, in both instances the available of water will calm down the deer.

It is possible we may be facing challenges in our walk with the Lord which has given the enemy an avenue to be hitting hard at us. Today God has opened wide His hands for us to walk back to Him for the Living Waters.

May we find the Lord as we seek Him, may we receive the Living Waters as we call on the Most High God during our spiritual dry moments, may our spiritual thirst and hunger be filled in Jesus Mighty name. Amen

God’s Word is Perfect, Reliable and Trustworthy Refreshing and Restoring the soul

The law of the Lord is perfect (flawless), restoring and refreshing the soul; The statutes of the Lord are reliable and trustworthy, making wise the simple.

The Word of the Lord created the entire universe and all within it, after each created thing, God Almighty looked upon it and remarked that it was Good.

This morning the Word of God is reminding us that nothing compares to it. God’s Word is Perfect and flawless, we cannot pick any fault or issue about the Word.

The Living Word of God brings restoration and revival to our souls. The Word is reliable and trustworthy because it is settled in Heaven already and forever.

May the Word of the Lord be our defence and rock! May it be our illumination that brings us revival and restoration. May the Word make us wiser each new day and May our ways be prosperous in Jesus Mighty name. Amen.

Come to Jesus for absolute Rest for your soul

“Come to Me, all who are weary and heavily burdened [by religious rituals that provide no peace], and I will give you rest [refreshing your souls with salvation]. Take My yoke upon you and learn from Me [following Me as My disciple], for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest (renewal, blessed quiet) for your souls .

Praise God for the blessings of a brand new, celebrate His goodness today.

God the Father gave His only begotten son to die to set us free from sin and death so Jesus is ever ready to do anything that will set us free.

In today’s scripture He is ready to free us from any burdens and entanglements that will prevent us from continuously loving and serving God. He has offered to make our burdens light if we come to Him.

Jesus Christ is ready to lift that burden off our heads so we don’t break our necks! We look very weary trying to solve issues on our own but we have the Saviour of the world who has our back and is a “burden lifter”. All that we need to do is to come to Him and surrender our lives to Him.

Jesus Christ is ready to give us a refreshing life once we acknowledge His Lordship and come to Him. May every load, burden and any form of weariness be lifted as we present them to Jesus Christ. Amen.

Jesus Christ continued His teachings when the Pharisees approached Him with the intention of tricking Him with the question “which is the greatest commandment in the law”?

Jesus Christ already knew their intent so responded accurately by the power and wisdom of God using the words in today’s scriptures.

The greatest commandment therefore is TO LOVE GOD with all your heart, soul and mind. After this Love your neighbour as yourself.

Lord, we love you with all our hearts, souls and minds, help us to remain loving You and also to love our neighbours unconditionally. May we never cease to love God and our neighbours all the days of our lives in Jesus Mighty name,Amen.

Bless the Lord O my Soul

Bless the Lord, O my soul, And forget not all His benefits:
Psalms 103:2 NKJV

Praise and glory be to God for this beautiful day and the opportunity to rejoice and be glad in it.

This day the bible enjoins us to follow the steps of King David and show our gratitude to the Most High God.

The Psalmist says Bless the Lord O my Soul and let all that is within me bless His holy name. The verse 2 which is our focus today says that we should bless the Lord and forget not all His benefits.

Are we able to recall all the benefits of the Lord? Are we able to list all the benefits of the Lord. We most times focus on the big things and take the basics of life for granted. Have you thanked God today for the gift of life? Have you considered that your ability to see, walk, talk is something we need appreciate the Lord for?

Most High God we are here today to say thank you for ALL you do for us, yes even the ones we forget to mention. Thank you Father and we praise you with our entire being and families. Be glorified now and forever more in Jesus Mighty name. Amen.

Jesus’ Soul is deeply grieved

Then He said to them, “My soul is deeply grieved, so that I am almost dying of sorrow. Stay here and stay awake and keep watch with Me.”

Today’s scripture gives a picture of the day that preceded Jesus’ death on the cross. Jesus went to Gethsemane with the disciples. He went further with the inner circle disciples Peter, James and John to pray whilst He went to commune with His Father as death on the cross was close to Him.

The human side of Jesus Christ then became sorrowful as it was very evident that He was to be crucified to save the world from sin and death.

Our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ endured this kind of sorrow (His soul deeply grieved) so that we might be saved and delivered from the Kingdom of darkness into God’s marvellous light.

May the sorrow that Jesus Christ endured towards His death be made real to us so we live our lives as people saved by His ultimate sacrifice. May our lives please the Lord in Jesus Mighty name.
