Let your deeds and speech be as a representative of the Lord

Whatever you do [no matter what it is] in word or deed, do everything in the name of the Lord Jesus [and in dependence on Him], giving thanks to God the Father through Him.

Glory and honour be unto God for the blessings of a brand new day and the opportunity to rejoice and be glad in it.

We are thankful unto God for giving us His only son Jesus Christ who came to set an example for His disciples and us.

Being a christian is living like Christ did! We must therefore be followers of Christ in our deeds and our speech. Christ must be glorified in all our actions.

We therefore need to rely on God to be able to live a godly and upright life doing things and speaking as pleases Christ.

May Jesus be praised! We thank God for such amazing love that has been bestowed upon us. May all our deeds and words glorify God. Amen.

Season Your Speech with grace

Conduct yourself with wisdom in your interactions with outsiders (non-believers), make the most of each opportunity [treating it as something precious]. Let your speech at all times be gracious and pleasant, seasoned with salt, so that you will know how to answer each one [who questions you].
COLOSSIANS 4:5‭-‬6 AMP

Today’s scripture requires of all of us to be living examples unto the world. In our communities, people should desire to follow Christ Jesus because of us.

We are exhorted to walk in wisdom when dealing with all people especially the unbelievers. We must not be in haste to condemn them or criticise them even where they are grossly at fault.

The bible requires that we show love and respect to the unbelievers around us. They must see our lives as examples that they desire. Our speech well seasoned and properly spiced so that the words that proceed out of our mouths minister grace unto the hearers.

The emphasis is on consistently showcasing to the world that you are a child of God and your manners and speech minister grace.

May the words we speak be gracious and pleasant unto our hearers. May the people around us desire more of Christ because of our lifestyles in Jesus Mighty name. Shalom

Your actions and speech tell what is in your heart

The [intrinsically] good man produces what is good and honorable and moral out of the good treasure [stored] in his heart; and the [intrinsically] evil man produces what is wicked and depraved out of the evil [in his heart]; for his mouth speaks from the overflow of his heart.
Luke 6:45 AMP

Thanks be to God for this beautiful day and the opportunity to rejoice and be glad in it.

This is a Word by our Lord Jesus Christ during His earthly ministry. The previous verses talk about the type of tree determines the type of fruit that is produced. A good tree bears good fruit.

Today’s scripture confirms this by saying that a good person produces good things because it is coming from a good heart. The good heart produces what is honourable, moral and good. A good heart is one that has Jesus Christ as the ruler and Master. Surrender your life to Him so He rules over your heart.

Likewise the evil or bad things do come from what we conceive in our heart, what is being produced determines the state of our hearts. What are the things that are flowing from your heart?

May our hearts and minds be fully possessed by the Holy Spirit and the Most High God. May our hearts produce only good, moral and honourable things to the glory of God. Amen

Speak Gracefully

Let no corrupt communication proceed out of your mouth, but that which is good to the use of edifying, that it may minister grace unto the hearers.
(Ephesians 4:29 KJV)

 
Thanks be to God for a brand new day and for His Word of Life. The scripture for the day says that as God’s people we should be careful not to speak anyhow. We must not allow any negative or evil communication to proceed out of our mouth.
The bible says that life and death lies in the power of the tongue. The words that proceed out of our mouth can either bless and encourage someone to proceed positively in life or cause someone to coil back into a shell and remain there.
Children of God, the bible again tells us that we shall be accountable for every word that proceeds out of our mouths. We should therefore consciously release choice words to our hearers. Our hearers must be challenged to do greater things after hearing us, ready to take giant steps etc. The words that we speak must minister grace unto all that hear.

Even difficult information or news should be communicated gracefully.
Strive to minister grace to your hearers by controlling your tongue. May people desire to hear from you all the time because of the pleasant words you speak! Let your words edify!
