Act Justly, Love Mercy, Walk Humbly

He has told you, O man, what is good; And what does the Lord require of you Except to be just, and to love [and to diligently practice] kindness (compassion), And to walk humbly with your God [setting aside any overblown sense of importance or self-righteousness]?
MICAH 6:8 AMP

Glory and honour be to our God for the blessings of a brand new day and the opportunity to rejoice and celebrate His goodness today.

The words spoken by God through the Prophet Micah is very relevant today. They remain the wisdom of God.

The Lord requires us to be just, that is to be fair, impartial, unbiased and equitable at all times and in all things.

Secondly the scripture requires that we love! That is we deliberately make the effort to love one another, be merciful and show compassion to all. We need to let kindness be part of our lives.

Finally, today’s scripture requires that we walk humbly with the Lord, take the example of humility exercised by Jesus Christ in His earthly ministry. We should eschew self righteousness and pride and allow the Spirit of God to guide our daily lives.

May God’s will and purposes for us come to pass as we strive to live justly, Love all at all times and remain humble. May greater grace abound in our lives in Jesus Mighty name. Amen

Walk in the Spirit so you don’t gratify the desire of the flesh

But I say, walk habitually in the [Holy] Spirit [seek Him and be responsive to His guidance], and then you will certainly not carry out the desire of the sinful nature [which responds impulsively without regard for God and His precepts].
Galatians 5:16 AMP

Glory, honour and adoration be unto God for this beautiful day and the opportunity to rejoice and be glad in it.

Today’s scripture is admonishing us to walk in the Spirit. That is to allow the Spirit of God to lead and guide us. This means that we have a choice to make between living according to our strength and abilities or according to the leadership of the Holy Spirit.

The scripture is clear that when we live by our strength we gratify the desires of the flesh including back biting, adultery, fornication, masturbation etc. The antidote is to allow the Spirit of God to direct us.

Walk habitually in the Holy Spirit means consulting the Holy Spirit in every step of your life. That is the way to put the flesh in check and under control.

Lord Jesus help us to live and walk completely by the Holy Spirit so we don’t gratify the desires of the flesh. May the power of the Holy Spirit live in us to guide all our moves in Jesus Mighty name, Amen.

Walk in Love Always as Jesus Did

And this is love: that we walk in accordance with His commandments and are guided continually by His precepts. This is the commandment, just as you have heard from the beginning, that you should [always] walk in love.
2 JOHN 1:6 AMP

Glory be to God for this beautiful day and the opportunity to rejoice and be glad in it.

God is love and His Word today says that we should walk in love. The Love of God is felt and seen, and the believer is a direct beneficiary. By love He gave His only begotten son to die to set us free from sin and death.

Today’s scripture as captured by Apostle John says that as we walk in accordance with the Word of God, that is His precepts and commandments we are walking in Love. God is Love so when we are guided by His precepts, we walk in Love.

As we walk in Love we see the goodness of the Lord, we experience His loving kindness and others get blessed through us also. Let’s endeavour to walk in Love!

I am a child of the Most High God and I choose to walk in Love. His Word is my guide and I will walk according to His commandments all the days of my life so that I will abound in His Love so help me God. Amen.

Walk and Conduct yourself as Jesus Christ did

whoever says he lives in Christ [that is, whoever says he has accepted Him as God and Savior] ought [as a moral obligation] to walk and conduct himself just as He walked and conducted Himself.
1 JOHN 2:6 AMP

Glory and honour be unto God for this beautiful day and the opportunity to rejoice and be glad in it. Adonai be magnified!

Have you connected to the source of life? Is Jesus Christ your Lord and Personal Saviour? Today’s scripture says that if we have made that call then we are obliged to let the world see Christ in all we do.

Apostle John says as people who have accepted Jesus Christ, we owe it as a moral obligation to walk and conduct ourselves as Jesus Christ did.

This we ought to do without fail as honour unto our Maker and to let others see Him at work in us so that they will desire to have Jesus Christ as their Lord and personal Saviour.

May the character of Christ Jesus be formed in us so that we can live it out effortlessly for our lives to witness the gospel of Jesus Christ. May we never cease to be instruments and channels that God uses to bless His people. Amen.

Live by the Spirit,Walk by the Spirit

If we [claim to] live by the [Holy] Spirit, we must also walk by the Spirit [with personal integrity, godly character, and moral courage–our conduct empowered by the Holy Spirit].
GALATIANS 5:25 AMP

Glory and honour be to our Lord and Master for this beautiful day and the opportunity to rejoice and be glad in it.

The charge by Apostle Paul in the whole of Galatians 5 is for the children of God to live by the Spirit of God. This is what is expected of every believer, to live and manifest the fruits of the Spirit.

A life not lived in the Spirit will be lived by the flesh and controlled by the desires of the flesh which produces ungodly fruits as listed in Galatians 5:19-21.

Today’s scripture therefore sums it up for us that if we have chosen to be children of God then let’s walk by the Spirit of God and show forth the fruits of integrity, godly character, moral courage, gentleness, kindness, goodness etc

May we live in the Spirit and walk in the Spirit to show forth the power and glory of God. May the Lord enable us to bear the fruits of the Spirit that will draw others to follow Jesus Christ in the mighty name of Jesus. Amen
