Meditate on the Honourable, Worthy, Pure and Excellent Things confirmed by God’s Word

Finally, believers, whatever is true, whatever is honorable and worthy of respect, whatever is right and confirmed by God’s word, whatever is pure and wholesome, whatever is lovely and brings peace, whatever is admirable and of good repute; if there is any excellence, if there is anything worthy of praise, think continually on these things [center your mind on them, and implant them in your heart].
PHILIPPIANS 4:8 AMP

Praise, Glory and honour be unto God for this beautiful day, the 1st day of October and the start of the last quarter of the year. May we celebrate His goodness today in a special way. Happy New Month!

Today, Apostle Paul is speaking to us directly like he did to the church at Philippi so many years ago. The words are so relevant today, May be even more than the time he gave this charge.

Let us strive to do these, the things that are of good reports and are praiseworthy should be associated with us. The Apostle Paul made himself as an example to the people. May we learn from him and be examples to our generation. May our minds be that green pastures that only nurture things!

May the Lord help us to live according to His Word, May our meditation and our minds stay on the the things that are praiseworthy, pure, excellent and confirmed by God’s Word in Jesus Mighty name. Amen.

Store God’s Word in your heart to guard against sin

Your word I have treasured and stored in my heart, That I may not sin against You.
PSALMS 119:11 AMP

Praise and adoration be unto God for this beautiful day and the opportunity to rejoice and be glad in it. Hallelujah.

Thank God for the creative ability of the Word of God. Today we see another important phase of the Word, the Word as a defence against sin.

King David said , he hid the Word of God in his heart so he would not sin against the Lord. Psalm 119 spoke a lot about the various abilities of the Word. Today we are also challenged to imitate and follow the Psalmist by accepting the Word of God as a treasure and hiding it in our hearts as a defence or as insurance against sin.

May the Lord help us to hide the Word of God in our hearts so we will not sin against the Most High God. May the Word remain as a treasure stored in our hearts forever more in Jesus Mighty name,Amen.

Anxiety weighs down the heart but a good Word uplifts

Anxiety in a man’s heart weighs it down, But a good (encouraging) word makes it glad.
PROVERBS 12:25 AMP

Glory and honour be to God for this beautiful day and the opportunity to rejoice and be glad in it.

Anxiety is so common with us that at the least moment we become anxious. In one of Jesus’ teaching He indicated that with our anxiety we are unable to even add one strand of hair to what is on our head. The God we serve takes care of the birds of the air and the lilies of the field, He will continue to take care of us.

As today’s scripture says, anxiety causes us to be disheartened, worried, agitated, down hearted and many more which negatively affects us. The fact is that anxiety does not change the situation! May we desist from being anxious as we just hurt ourselves.

The scripture recommends a good and encouraging word which uplifts the soul and makes the heart glad. We should therefore be embracing good and encouraging words which will gladden the heart and make positive impact on our lives.

May we receive the Grace to overcome and conquer anxiety in our lives. May God’s Word which encourages and exhorts be ours so we get lifted up in Jesus Mighty name. Amen

Faith Comes by Hearing the Word of God

So faith comes from hearing [what is told], and what is heard comes by the [preaching of the] message concerning Christ.
ROMANS 10:17 AMP

Hallelujah! Praise and honour be unto God for this beautiful day, glory be to His name.

Thanks be to God for His Word today that says Faith comes from the hearing of the Word of God.

The more we listen to the Word of God and hear what is said, we are building up our Faith which is very essential for our survival. Also we need to read and study the Word of God to build up our faith.

May we continue to listen and hear the Word of God to boost and fortify our Shield of Faith that will ward off any fiery darts. May Faith rise up in us so that we will boldly stand for the Lord and declare His goodness to the world. Amen.
