Clothe yourself with Kindness,Patience, Compassion and Humility

So, as God’s own chosen people, who are holy [set apart, sanctified for His purpose] and well-beloved [by God Himself], put on a heart of compassion, kindness, humility, gentleness, and patience [which has the power to endure whatever injustice or unpleasantness comes, with good temper];
COLOSSIANS 3:12 AMP

Glory be to God for the gift of a brand new day, praise and adoration be unto His holy name.

Today’s scripture forms part of an admonition from Apostle Paul to the church to put on the new self as believers. This means that you can be born again but will not show forth these virtues.

The call therefore is on us who have been sanctified and set apart by the Lord to clothe ourselves with these virtues so that we can stand for God no matter what wind blows towards us.

As a beloved child of God therefore put on the heart of compassion. Let kindness, humility and patience be engraved in your life so that you can stand for Christ even in the face of trials and tribulations.

May the Lord who has separated us unto Himself enable and empower us to be clothed appropriately in His virtues to endure the challenges of this world. Help us Lord in Jesus Mighty name.

Love your Neighbour as yourself

For the whole Law [concerning human relationships] is fulfilled in one precept, “You shall love your neighbor as yourself [that is, you shall have an unselfish concern for others and do things for their benefit].”

GALATIANS 5:14 AMP

Glory and adoration be to God for this beautiful day and the opportunity to rejoice and be glad in it. Today is the beginning of a new month and we praise God. Happy New Month.

Today’s scripture captures the whole essence of the gospel of Jesus Christ, loving us so much that He left His mighty throne and came down to die to save mankind.

The Apostle Paul indicates that just as our Lord and Saviour sacrificed His life for us, so must we live a sacrificial life.

The summary of the Gospel of Jesus Christ is to love one another unconditionally. In John 13:34 Jesus said I give you a new Commandment, Love one another just as I have loved you.

We should always be ready to sacrifice for one another. Loving your Neighbour as yourself is going all out to help someone without expecting anything in return.

Love is the greatest of all and we must show forth that love in our daily lives. Seek the benefit of others truly.

May we fulfil this great example of the Lord by loving through and through till Jesus appears.

May the Lord help us to love one another and at all times in Jesus Mighty name.

Deny yourself, take up your Cross and Follow Jesus

And He was saying to them all, “If anyone wishes to follow Me [as My disciple], he must deny himself [set aside selfish interests], and take up his cross daily [expressing a willingness to endure whatever may come] and follow Me [believing in Me, conforming to My example in living and, if need be, suffering or perhaps dying because of faith in Me]. For whoever wishes to save his life [in this world] will [eventually] lose it [through death], but whoever loses his life [in this world] for My sake, he is the one who will save it [from the consequences of sin and separation from God].
Luke 9:23‭-‬24 AMP

Glory and honour be unto God for the blessings of a brand new day and the opportunity to rejoice and be glad in it.

Jesus laid down the conditions required for the disciples to be able to work effectively and efficiently in the ministry. These conditions are applicable to us today.

Firstly, He called for self sacrifice(deny yourself of the pleasures of the world) to be able to follow Jesus Christ, set aside self interest and look at the bigger picture of serving the Lord selflessly.

Be ready and willing to go all out for Jesus! The willingness to endure any challenge that might come for the sake of the gospel reaching the utter most part of the world.

Pattern your life after Jesus Christ so that as the world sees you they are reading the gospel of Jesus Christ. Following Jesus’ life without any compromise so that your life will point others to Christ.

May Jesus be seen in our lives, may we be the carriers of the gospel, may we be instruments of God’s love and may the lost be saved through our obedience. God bless you. Amen.

Build yourself up on your most Holy Faith

But you, beloved, build yourselves up on [the foundation of] your most holy faith [continually progress, rise like an edifice higher and higher], pray in the Holy Spirit, and keep yourselves in the love of God, waiting anxiously and looking forward to the mercy of our Lord Jesus Christ [which will bring you] to eternal life.
JUDE 1:20‭-‬21 AMP

Thanks be to God for the encouragement from the Word to develop ourselves in the Lord. To grow in the Faith and mature as a believer is to study the Word of God and pray in the Holy Spirit.

Hallelujah! Continue to walk and remain in the love of God as you build up yourself in the Lord. We therefore grow from one level to another and look forward to enjoying the mercy of God through to His coming and thereafter eternal life in Christ Jesus.

May we be positioned to develop ourselves in the Faith we have received and walk in the Love of God. May our prayer in the Spirit ascend to the throne of Grace and release the Mercies of God upon us to sustain us till eternity in Jesus Mighty name. Amen
