Thanks be to God that in His infinite wisdom, He has given us life and godliness through His divine power. We have all we need to live a godly life , not by our strength, but through His power at work in us.

Our lives should be devoted to following Jesus Christ through a personal relationship with Him. As we remain connected to Him daily, His divine power enables us to walk in life and godliness.

God is Not Slow, He Is Patient, Awaiting Our Repentance

“The Lord does not delay [as though He were unable to act] and is not slow about His promise, as some count slowness, but is [extraordinarily] patient toward you, not wishing for any to perish but for all to come to repentance.”
—2 PETER 3:9 AMP

Praise and glory be to God for this beautiful day and the privilege to rejoice and be glad in it!

In today’s Scripture, Apostle Peter reminds the Church that the promise of the Lord’s coming is not to be taken lightly. Some had begun to scoff, suggesting that His delay meant He wasn’t coming at all. But Peter corrects this notion, God’s seeming delay is not because He is slow or forgetful, but because He is patient, desiring that no one should perish but that all should come to repentance.

As stated in the same chapter, “With the Lord a day is like a thousand years, and a thousand years like a day.” His return will be sudden, like a thief in the night. And as we observe the signs of the times—many of which align with biblical prophecy, we are reminded that His coming is nearer than ever.

Let us not grow complacent. The Lord is not slack concerning His promise. Instead, He is extending mercy, giving us time to examine our hearts, turn from sin, and deepen our relationship with Jesus Christ.

Let us take this moment seriously and prepare our hearts and minds for His return. His desire is for each of us to walk in repentance, faith, and readiness.

May the Word of the Lord dwell richly in us, stirring a daily longing for His appearing. May we not take His patience for granted, but use every moment to grow in holiness and intimacy with Christ. Lord, help us to be ready. Amen.
