Our Generosity attracts God’s Blessings

He who has pity on the poor lends to the Lord, And He will pay back what he has given.
Proverbs 19:17 NKJV

Praise be to God for this beautiful day and the opportunity to rejoice and be glad in it.

The basis of Christianity is giving. For God so loved us that He gave us His only begotten son to die to set us free from sin and death. But for this, where would we have been?

Bible also encourages us to give, Apostle Paul engaged the church in Corinth to give because God loves a cheerful giver. In Matthew 25 Jesus also spoke about caring for the poor, prisoners, hungry and the naked. Jesus says as we do for these ones we have done it for him.

Today’s scripture as stated by King Solomon encourages all to pay attention to the poor or needy and provide the support or help that we can. This he stated is an act that God himself highly values and causes His eye and hand to turn towards us.

For God to pay you back for any act of kindness to the poor it means He needs to first recognise that act and step down from Majesty to reward. What a blessing!

May the Lord visit us more frequently because of our giving to the needy and poor. May we not be weary in doing good and being a blessing. The Lord is our great reward, May the Lord bless every giving heart today and forever more in Jesus Mighty name.

Do not pay evil with evil but with Blessings rather

I Peter 3:9 NKJV
[9] not returning evil for evil or reviling for reviling, but on the contrary blessing, knowing that you were called to this, that you may inherit a blessing.

Praise and honour be unto God for this beautiful day and the opportunity to rejoice and be glad in it.

Thank God for His Word today that encourages us to live according to the words that Jesus Christ spoke that we should move away from a tooth for a tooth and an eye for eye. Jesus recommended that when someone even slaps you turn the other cheek and do not hit back. Hmmm, God have mercy.

The Apostle Peter is therefore reminding us of that word by saying we should not pay evil with evil but we should rather bless the one who seeking evil for you.

This is not easy and requires God’s grace and Spirit to energize us to be able to repay evil with blessings. We may have to pray for grace daily to be able to obey this Word of God which comes with blessings. You may just have to walk away from some situations instead of trying to argue out your rightful position.

May the Lord help us to live according to His Word, may His great grace be multiplied unto us so we can stand in the difficult moments in Jesus Mighty name. Amen

Blessed is the one that endures Temptations

Blessed [happy, spiritually prosperous, favored by God] is the man who is steadfast under trial and perseveres when tempted; for when he has passed the test and been approved, he will receive the [victor’s] crown of life which the Lord has promised to those who love Him.
JAMES 1:12 AMP

Praise, glory and adoration be unto God for this beautiful day and the opportunity to rejoice and be glad in it.

This morning Apostle James is telling us that God rewards abundantly the one who stands firm and faces trials and tribulations that come his or her way.

As children of the Most High God, we will experience some trials and temptations on this journey, our reaction or response to this is very important. Today’s scripture encourages every child of God to stand firm in times of trials so we don’t miss out the blessings of the Lord.

The blessings include being spiritually prosperous, favour from God and an ultimate victor’s crown of life! We must stay steadfast, we must persevere to the end to receive this crown, leave no room to fall by the roadside.

May the Lord help us to stay strong and steadfast no matter the challenge that comes our way. May we be approved by the Lord as worthy and faithful servants so we don’t miss out the victor’s crown of life in Jesus Mighty name.

Blessed are those persecuted for righteousness sake

“Blessed [comforted by inner peace and God’s love] are those who are persecuted for doing that which is morally right, for theirs is the kingdom of heaven [both now and forever].
MATTHEW 5:10 AMP

Thanks be to God for this beautiful day and the opportunity to rejoice and be glad in it.

Today’s scripture was delivered as part of Jesus’ sermon on the Mount.

Jesus said that for everyone that is persecuted for righteousness sake, the kingdom of Heaven shall be your reward. Therefore anyone who strives to live a godly and upright life for the Lord and is being called names today like Osofo and Maame Osofo, should count it joy because of the ultimate reward.

The rewards are for now and forever more, stay on the righteousness path with the Lord and your reward shall be both physical and spiritual which is the ultimate reward of eternal life.

May the Lord grant us the grace that we need to stay and walk in righteousness till the very end so we do not miss out on His ultimate reward. May we be blessed as we keep doing what is morally right for God’s kingdom. Amen.
