Let There Be Light

“Then God said, ‘Let there be light’; and there was light.”
— Genesis 1:3 (NKJV)

Glory and honour be unto the Most High God, who created the world by the power of His Word. Hallelujah!

Today’s verse takes us to the very beginning of Scripture, where God initiated His work of creation. The very first thing He did was to call forth light. And when He spoke, light appeared and separated the darkness.

This was the beginning of order in God’s creation. Light laid the foundation for everything else God would make. After all, humanity could not have existed in the total darkness that once covered the earth.

“Let there be light” also reveals the creative power of God, unmatched by any other. It symbolizes the beginning of clarity, purpose, and direction, as well as the separation of good from evil. The light of God brings salvation, healing, and deliverance. Therefore, we must always seek the light and remain connected to it.

Jesus Christ came as the Light of the World—to lead us out of the darkness and into the glorious Kingdom of God.

May the light of God guide us daily. As we walk in the light Christ has provided, may every form of darkness be removed from our lives. May we experience the creative power of God in every area of our lives, in Jesus’ mighty name. Amen.

Take a Rest on the Sabbath-Follow God’s example

‭Genesis 2:2-3 AMP‬
[2] And by the seventh day God completed His work which He had done, and He rested (ceased) on the seventh day from all His work which He had done. [3] So God blessed the seventh day and sanctified it [as His own, that is, set it apart as holy from other days], because in it He rested from all His work which He had created and done.

Praise be to God for this beautiful day and the opportunity to rejoice and be glad in it.

Our scripture today from Genesis 2 implores us to factor rest into all that we do.

God himself patterned this for us to follow, in His creation of the universe, He did it in 6 days and rested on the 7th day to admire and enjoy His creation. Take a pause, rest and enjoy the work of your hands!

We therefore need to make that conscious effort to factor that break for rest into our lives and work. This enables us to refresh and recharge to move on to greater heights.

God rested and blessed the 7th day, as we factor the day of rest into our lives, we must devote it to God and make it a must to fellowship with Him in a special way that day.

May the Lord help us to abide by His Word and His example. May we be blessed spiritually and physically as we factor rest into our lives in Jesus Mighty name. Amen

In the beginning God created the heavens and earth

Genesis 1:1 NKJV
[1] In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth.

Praise and glory be to God for this beautiful day and the opportunity to rejoice and be glad in it.

Genesis 1:1 is the very first statement of the bible and it gives us the account of how the entire universe and all that is within came into being. The Master of the universe God Himself created the heavens and the earth.

God lives in eternity and created the heavens and earth out of nothing but by His spoken word. Bible says that in the beginning was the Word and the Word was with God and the Word was God (John 1:1).

God is our supreme and universal God who had all things created through Him. For in Him were all things created as stated in Colossians 1:16.

May the Lord who created heaven and earth and created us in His own image remain our all in all. May the power of His creation work through us to impact this world in Jesus Mighty name. Thank you Lord for your beautiful creation. Amen.
