Jesus the Author and Finisher of our Faith

Looking unto Jesus the author and finisher of our faith; who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is set down at the right hand of the throne of God.
Hebrews 12:2 KJV

Praise and glory be to God! God is good to us! Thanks be to God for this beautiful day and the opportunity to rejoice and be glad in it.

Who else can we turn to apart from Jesus Christ the Son of the Most High God! The beginning and the end, the Alpha and Omega!

Jesus Christ sacrificed His life for us in joy because He foresaw a great future ahead of you and I. May we not make this sacrifice to be in vain. His pain is for our gain so let’s connect to Jesus Christ and tap into this awesome blessings.

Because of the sacrifice of Jesus Christ on the cross, we have redemption and we have an eternal inheritance and life in Christ Jesus. May we continually encounter the throne of Grace to obtain His great mercies.

May we be heavenly citizens! May we make it to Heaven to enjoy God’s Mighty Throne and Glory. May the Lord help us to accomplish His purposes in Jesus Mighty name. Amen.

God’s Word is Alive, Active and sharper than a Double Edged Sword

“For the Word that God speaks is alive and full of power [making it active, operative, energizing, and effective]; it is sharper than any two-edged sword, penetrating to the dividing line of the [7]breath of life (soul) and [the immortal] spirit, and of joints and marrow [of the deepest parts of our nature], exposing and sifting and analyzing and judging the very thoughts and purposes of the heart.” Hebrews 4:12

Praise and adoration be to God for this beautiful and blessed day, may the joy of the Lord be with you throughout the day.

The Word of God created the World and all that is in it. God spoke creation into being. The bible says that all scripture is God breathed so every word in the bible has the active power to create. In fact the Bible is the only book to be described as active and alive!

We are therefore reminded that the Word of God is alive and active and ABLE to deal with with every situation (that is why it is able to run through the soul, bones and marrows). The Word of God has no limitations or restrictions.

The possibilities of the Word of God are beyond our imagination, it is a double edged sword capable of tearing down what needs to be destroyed and building up what needs to be created. It is a full proof solution to any situation.

May we be students and practitioners of the Word of God. May we enjoy the Power of this creative, active and living Word of God now and forever more in Jesus Mighty name.

Run the Race Ahead with Endurance

Therefore, since we are surrounded by so great a cloud of witnesses [who by faith have testified to the truth of God’s absolute faithfulness], stripping off every unnecessary weight and the sin which so easily and cleverly entangles us, let us run with endurance and active persistence the race that is set before us,

Hallelujah and glory be to God for this beautiful day and the privilege to rejoice and be glad in it.

The Christian journey is likened to a race, and to finish this race well we must be intentional and disciplined. No athlete competes with heavy clothing or unnecessary burdens; in the same way, we cannot expect to run the heavenly race while holding on to sins, habits, or distractions that weigh us down.

The scripture reminds us that we are surrounded by a great cloud of witnesses—men and women of faith who have gone before us and testified to God’s faithfulness. Our lives should in turn inspire others to pursue Christ. This means letting go of every form of sin, even those we may call “little sins,” and choosing to walk in holiness daily.

Beloved, Jesus Christ is our strength. Because of Him, every unnecessary weight can be laid aside. As we keep our eyes on Him, we will receive the grace to endure, persist, and finish the race of faith victoriously.

Let’s keep our eyes on Jesus Christ and run our race with endurance till the end.

Lord Jesus, help me to lay aside every weight and sin that easily entangles me. Grant me the grace to endure and to finish my race faithfully. May I remain victorious now and forevermore, in Your mighty name. Amen.

Jesus offered reverent prayers to God while on earth- an example for us

‭‭Hebrews 5:7 AMP‬‬
[7] In the days of His earthly life, Jesus offered up both [specific] petitions and [urgent] supplications [for that which He needed] with fervent crying and tears to the One who was [always] able to save Him from death, and He was heard because of His reverent submission toward God [His sinlessness and His unfailing determination to do the Father’s will].

Glory and honour be unto God for this beautiful day and the opportunity to rejoice and be glad in it.

Thanks be to God for His infallible Word. Today’s scripture brings out the fact that when Jesus Christ was on earth He was fully human and suffered a lot of things we also suffer today. In the midst of all that He lifted up petitions and supplications to God His Father for help.

In the last days when His death was imminent , He prayed to God to let this cup pass Him by if possible. God the Father answered His Son Jesus Christ when He lifted up few loaves of bread and fish and they were multiplied.

Today Jesus is seated in Heaven with God the Father and interceding for us. We should therefore not relent in lifting up our prayers and supplication to God through Jesus Christ.

May we never cease to call upon the name of the Lord at all times. May Jesus’ earthly example of petitions to the Most High encourage us to always call on the name of the Lord for help. Glory be to God, Amen.

Faith is the Assurance and Evidence of things not seen

Now faith is the assurance (title deed, confirmation) of things hoped for (divinely guaranteed), and the evidence of things not seen [the conviction of their reality–faith comprehends as fact what cannot be experienced by the physical senses].
HEBREWS 11:1 AMP

Glory be to God for the blessings of a brand new day and the opportunity to rejoice and celebrate His goodness.

Faith is action and Faith is now! It is the confidence we have in God and the assurance that the things we do not see will happen or come to pass.

The Amplified Bible says that Faith is the assurance of things hoped for and believing that they are divinely guaranteed to happen. The belief that what you are looking for has happened though you cannot see it physically.

Faith is believing God that what you hope for has happened and that you have received it. Whether it is that job, examination, child, financial breakthrough, believe that it is done. Have the conviction that it is received and that you have it. The evidence of your hope and substance of the things not seen.

May we apply our faith in every area of our lives. All we require is to acknowledge that God is God and He will come through that situation for us no matter what. He is a rewarder of those who diligently seek him.

Put your faith into action and look forward to testifying about the Goodness of God.

Do Good at All times, it Pleases God

Do not neglect to do good, to contribute [to the needy of the church as an expression of fellowship], for such sacrifices are always pleasing to God.
HEBREWS 13:16 AMP

Praise and glory be to the Almighty God for this beautiful day, let us rejoice and celebrate His goodness today.

The Lord loves the cheerful giver, He is pleased with the kind hearted, Abel’s choice sacrifice was gladly received by God. It is the same way human beings get excited at the receipt of nice/good things.

Today the scripture admonishes us to DO GOOD. To be able to do good to people you must be kind hearted, willing to see others progress in their situation and in life. God said that “once you have done for any of these ones, you have done it for me.” It is the love of God in us that will cause us to reach out to support others.

Do Good to the needy of the church as part of fellowship and also to others so our kindness and goodness may minister the Love of Jesus Christ to them. Bible says in Galatians 6:9 that we should not be tired or weary in doing good especially to the household of Faith.

It calls for sacrifice to be able to do good, the selfish part of us will be telling us to hold back and therefore discourage us from doing good. We should let the Love of God and the Word of God be our guide in life so we can continue to do good by supporting and caring for the needs of others.

May we receive the Grace to support the work of ministry. May the Lord bless the efforts we make at doing good to others so we will grow with that attitude in Jesus Mighty name. Amen.

Jesus Christ, the same yesterday, tomorrow and forever

Jesus Christ is [eternally changeless, always] the same yesterday and today and forever.
HEBREWS 13:8 AMP

Praise God for this beautiful day and the opportunity to rejoice and be glad in it.

Our God is awesome! He is an amazing God that none compares with Him. He is clothed in His majesty and rules over the earth!

Jesus Christ is changeless! He is the same God who wrought the miracles we read in the Bible, He is still doing same in His church today. He guarantees us that going forward Jesus Christ will still reign as the King of Kings and Lord of Lords. Let us entrust our all into the hands of this Changeless God to change our situations for good for us!

Jesus Christ does not change because He is part of the Trinity. In the beginning He was there as the Word. He also said ” I and my Father are one”.

May Jesus Christ our unchangeable God translate our lives from darkness into His marvellous light. May Jesus Christ the same yesterday, today and forever reign in our lives in Jesus Mighty name. Amen.

Entering into the Rest of God

Hebrews 4:10 NKJV
[10] For he who has entered His rest has himself also ceased from his works as God did from His.

Praise and glory be to God for this beautiful day and the opportunity to rejoice and be glad in it.

Today’s scripture is asking that we enter into the Rest of God, that is the safest place we can find ourselves. The rest of God means that we are no longer struggling to do things on our own but enjoying the move and peace of God.

We cease using our efforts and asking God to step in, like salvation, we do not attain by our physical abilities but God gifts us salvation through His only begotten son to die to set us free.

As we enter into the Rest of God we enjoy the Peace of God, His completeness and sufficiency.

May we find the Rest of God, may we enjoy the sufficiency of Jesus Christ. May we experience the Peace and assurance that comes from living in God’s rest in Jesus Mighty name. Amen

Receive Grace and Mercy from God’s Throne of Grace

Therefore let us [with privilege] approach the throne of grace [that is, the throne of God’s gracious favor] with confidence and without fear, so that we may receive mercy [for our failures] and find [His amazing] grace to help in time of need [an appropriate blessing, coming just at the right moment].

HEBREWS 4:16 AMP

Thanks be to God for the blessings of a brand new day and a new month. Glory, honour and praise be unto God. May the blessings of this day and month locate us.

Let us remember that Jesus Christ died on the cross to save us. That is the reason we are saved in the first place and have that opportunity to approach God’s throne with all confidence.

Today’s scripture is giving us the benefits of dwelling in the presence of God. The child of God is informed to approach the Throne of Grace with confidence so that you can reap greater benefits. Let no spirit of fear grip you and lose out on God’s mega blessings.

The three major benefits are receiving Mercy, receiving Grace and help in time of need. The mercies of God cover our shortcomings and inadequacies. The Grace is for our journeys ahead so we can reach our desired destinations. God’s help is an essential component of our lives and without it we are nothing!

May we receive Mercy, Grace and Help from the Lord in all periods of need. May we desire to be in God’s presence all the days of our lives. May God’s unlimited resource centre service our every need in Jesus Mighty name. Amen.

We have to finish the Race at all cost so we must employ the right tools to enable us achieve this. Obviously to run a race and hope to be successful one must be properly attired, we cannot wear a military armoured dress and hope to succeed in a race.

Likewise in this heavenly race, we ought to drop every weight in the form of sin or appearance of sin that will prevent us from making heaven. The scripture says that we are surrounded by a great cloud of witnesses, our actions should encourage these witnesses to desire Jesus Christ. The sins that we have categorised as “little sins” and struggle with them must be overcome if we want to end this race of Faith well.

Jesus Christ is our strength and because of that every unnecessary weight has been laid aside.

May we run the Race ahead with Endurance and complete successfully in Jesus Mighty name. May we remain victorious in this now and forever more in Jesus Mighty name. Amen.
