Return genuinely to the Lord with all your heart

Glory be to God for the blessings of a brand new day and the opportunity to rejoice and be glad in it.

We thank God that He is caring, when we mess up and go our own ways, He cuddles us and offers us the position of sons and daughters again. An amazing Father and God we have.

The Lord is calling for us to turn from our own ways (wicked and wayward) and come to Him with our hearts and minds completely renewed towards Him. He is ready to receive us into His marvellous light.

Exodus 34:6 talks about God being long suffering and slow to anger, abounding in mercy, this is why we are not consumed immediately we sin but have the opportunity to repent from our sins.

Restore unto us the joy of our salvation and renew the right Spirit within us, cast me not away from your presence O Lord .

Most High God as we come to you with all our heart, forgive us and cleanse us from all unrighteousness. Welcome us and offer us a place of honour in your Kingdom in Jesus Mighty name. Amen.

The coming of the Day of the Lord

[1] Blow the trumpet in Zion [warning of impending judgment], Sound an alarm on My holy mountain [Zion]! Let all the inhabitants of the land tremble and shudder in fear, For the [judgment] day of the Lord is coming; It is close at hand, ‭‭Joel‬ ‭2:1‬ ‭AMP‬‬

Praise be to God for this beautiful day and the opportunity to rejoice and be glad in it.

The coming of the Lord’s day refers to the second coming of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ to judge the world. It is a time of accountability, each person gives an account of how you have lived your life.

Today’s scripture is therefore a reminder that we need to be mindful of such a day ahead of us. No one knows the hour that the Lord is coming and therefore we need to be ready.

There is the need to be sure that we do not miss out on heaven and therefore our walk with the Lord here on earth must be close and tight, ensuring that we live according to His Word. The happenings of the world especially the wars and rumours of war etc lend credence to the fact that the coming of the Lord could be soon as stated in the Bible.

May our hearts and lives be fully sold out to Jesus Christ and therefore ready for His second coming at all times. May we continually work out our salvation with fear and trembling till the Lord’s coming in Jesus Mighty name. Amen.
