Esther 4:14 NKJV
[14] For if you remain completely silent at this time, relief and deliverance will arise for the Jews from another place, but you and your father’s house will perish. Yet who knows whether you have come to the kingdom for such a time as this?”
Thanks be to God for this beautiful day and the opportunity to rejoice and be glad in it.
Today’s scripture is the Word that Mordecai sent to his niece Esther who was the Queen at the time that the Jews were being targeted to be destroyed and killed because of the conspiracy of Haman. He had made the King sign a document that had been circulated to all provinces for the Jews to be killed.
It was when Mordecai heard this that tore his clothes and put on sackcloth and ashes and called on Queen Esther to intervene or intercede on our behalf of the Jews. When Queen Esther replied Mordecai that she needed an appointment to appear before the King, Mordecai replied her that she has been placed that for a purpose.
Queen Esther then decided to take that step of faith after she had sent word to Mordecai for the team to fast and pray. She stepped out and got favour before the King and had the edict against the Jews reversed. Queen Esther therefore used her position to save the Jews from destruction.
The lesson for us is to use the gifts and opportunities that God has given to us to impact our community and be a blessing. What do you need to do today to make a difference in your immediate environment?
Lord Jesus help us to live completely for you, may we live purposefully by utilising the gifts you have deposited in us. May we be instruments of change and accomplish your purposes in Jesus Mighty name. Amen.
