Glory and honour be to God for this beautiful day and the opportunity to rejoice and be glad in it.
This verse captures the Great Commission that Jesus Christ gave to His disciples, and by extension to every child of God after His resurrection and before His ascension.
Today’s scripture reminds us that every Christian is called to share the good news of salvation with others. Jesus assured His disciples that all authority had been given to Him by the Father, and on this authority, He sends us out to carry the message of the Kingdom to the ends of the earth.
The Great Commission is more than just preaching, it is teaching, baptizing, and walking alongside new believers to help them remain steadfast and grow in Christ Jesus.
Father, we ask for Your grace to faithfully fulfill the Great Commission in accordance with Your Word.
Lord Jesus, empower us to be preachers and teachers of Your truth so that Your Word may be firmly established in the lives of those we minister to. In Jesus’ Mighty Name, Amen.
