Turning Hearts Across Generations

“He will turn the hearts of the fathers to the children, and the hearts of the children to their fathers; lest I come and strike the earth with a curse.”
— Malachi 4:6 NKJV

Praise be to God for a brand new day and the opportunity to worship and celebrate the goodness of the Lord.

In today’s scripture God ends the Old Testament with a strong reminder about the power of relationships between generations. His desire is for fathers and children to walk in unity of heart and purpose. When love, respect, and spiritual inheritance flow between generations, families and nations are preserved. But when disconnection and bitterness rule, society begins to break down under the weight of a curse.

This prophetic word was fulfilled in part through John the Baptist, who came in the spirit of Elijah to prepare the way for Christ (Luke 1:17). Yet, it also points to our time, the end-time move of God will restore intergenerational harmony in the church. The older must mentor and guide, while the younger must honor and receive. This is how blessings flow from one generation to the next.

Lord, turn my heart towards those who come after me, and let me honor those who went before me. Make me a bridge for Your blessing across generations.

Father, I ask that You heal every broken relationship between fathers and children, both in homes and in Your church. Let love, honor, and reconciliation abound. May our families and generations walk together in Your covenant, that no curse may have a foothold in our lives. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.

The Blessings of Tithing

Bring all the tithes (the tenth) into the storehouse, so that there may be food in My house, and test Me now in this,” says the Lord of hosts, “if I will not open for you the windows of heaven and pour out for you [so great] a blessing until there is no more room to receive it.

Today’s scripture is about tithing. The Prophet Malachi charged the Israelites to test God with this and thereafter see the blessings of the Lord.

Just like the amplified version of the bible is saying, the tithe is a tenth (10%) of salary/profit/income/receipts etc. This is the minimum required of us as children of God. We can stretch our faith and go beyond that as a Covenant with the Lord. If you are yet to participate in tithing, you are encouraged to start as soon as possible.

The scripture above says we should do this to test Him and see if He will not release the heavens floodgates such that we cannot contain.

May the Lord help us to obey and observe His Word regarding tithing so we can accordingly receive from the Lord in Jesus Name. May the no room enough blessings be our portion in Jesus Name. Amen.

Reconciliation of the Hearts of the Parents and the Children

And he will turn The hearts of the fathers to the children, And the hearts of the children to their fathers, Lest I come and strike the earth with a curse.”

Glory and honour be to God for this beautiful day and the opportunity to rejoice and be glad in it.

In today’s scripture the Prophet Malachi was talking about the coming of the Lord for which it was important for all to prepare. In the chapter he referred to John the Baptist who was preparing the Israelites to receive Jesus.

Today’s message is relevant to the 2nd coming of the Lord and it is important that we are all prepared. The scripture admonishes Fathers to reach out to their children and likewise to the children. This process is to sort out any challenges and fully reconcile.

The hearts of the Fathers or parents must turn to their children and likewise the Hearts of the children also must turn to their fathers or parents. Just as our heavenly father has forgiven us so do fathers/parents and children do same and patch up all differences.

May the Lord grant great grace to all parents to reach out to their children and demonstrate God’s love. May all children rise to honour their parents in Jesus Mighty name. Amen

Be Ready for the Lord

“Behold, I am going to send My messenger, and he will prepare and clear the way before Me. And the Lord [the Messiah], whom you seek, will suddenly come to His temple; the Messenger of the covenant, in whom you delight, behold, He is coming,” says the Lord of hosts.

Praise God for another beautiful day. This morning we are reminded that the day of the Lord will soon appear.

 
We had John the Baptist come ahead of The Messiah Jesus Christ to prepare the way for all to receive the Messiah. Some people did not flow with him.

 
The Messiah himself also came as a messenger of God the Father to die and save us from sin. Still some rejected the Son of God, today He sits at the Father’s right hand interceding for us.

 
There are more messengers today (sons and daughters of Jesus Christ) who are still proclaiming the Word of the Lord and preparing us for the ultimate coming of the Lord to judge the world.
Prepare therefore to receive the Lord by surrendering your life to Him and abiding by His Word. We may not know when He is coming so let’s be ready for the Lord.
