Glory and honour be unto God for this beautiful day and the opportunity to rejoice and be glad in it.
Today’s scripture is one of the Beatitudes Jesus taught at His teaching service held on the Mount. The beatitudes describe the way of life that Jesus Christ requires of us.
Today’s focus is on being merciful! It is because of God’s mercy that we are saved and are here at this moment. The teaching therefore is challenging us to take up that example of Jesus so that we shall continually receive God’s mercy.
The showing of Mercy qualifies us as Blessed people who shall even receive more mercy. Ephesians 5:1-2 helps us to take further steps towards showing mercy.
May we be blessed greatly as we show mercy to others. May the Great mercies of God abound towards us. May we remain sheltered by God’s promises in Jesus Mighty name.Amen.
