Iron Sharpens Iron, Man Sharpens Man

As iron sharpens iron, So one man sharpens [and influences] another [through discussion].

Glory and honour be to God for this beautiful day and the opportunity to rejoice and be glad in it.

Thank God for today’s scripture, one of the wise sayings recorded by Proverbs. Iron sharpens iron! The iron that is able to sharpen must be sharp, a blunt iron cannot sharpen the other. We must stay as sharp irons and interact with other sharp irons so we can sharpen and be sharpened as well.

There is an adage that says show me your friend and I will show you your character. It is very true that as people relate closely, they influence each other. What kind of influence do we have on those we relate to? Our influence should be godly and positive, this is what we should give and receive!

May we remain sharpened by the Word of God as we sharpen and shape each other positively with our godly influence. May no blunt iron be able to negatively influence us. May the Lord help us to stay as relevant influencers in our generation in Jesus Mighty name. Amen.

Reverence for God is far important than Beauty and Charm

Charm and grace are deceptive, and [superficial] beauty is vain, But a woman who fears the Lord [reverently worshiping, obeying, serving, and trusting Him with awe-filled respect], she shall be praised.

The scripture says that beauty and charm are superficial, these are important but most important is a woman who fears the Lord. By extension a man who reverences the Lord stands tall in the sight of God because the good looks are temporal.

The fear of the Lord is to give Him our worship continually, obey His Word and abide by them, serve Him continually and trust Him completely.

May we continually worship and reverence the Most High God. May our total trust remain in Him. May we obedient to His Word and abide by them all the days of our lives in Jesus mighty name.

Death and Life lie in the Power of the Tongue

Death and life are in the power of the tongue: and they that love it shall eat the fruit thereof.
Proverbs 18:21 KJV

Praise and honour be to God for a brand new day. May the joy of the Lord be our portion today.

Words are powerful, they either make or break you. The scripture for the day is charging us to pay attention to the words that we utter. They carry the Power to make or unmake us. We need to choose the right words at all times.

The words that we speak should therefore contain life, they must be encouraging, reassuring, positive and bringing solutions. Such words bring life to any dead situation.

Let’s utilise the authority and power given us to use words to make a positive impact on the world. Our words should bring light to a dark world. People should yearn to hear from us because anytime we speak, joy and peace are experienced. May this be your portion in Jesus Mighty name.

May we always seek the Lord to bring restoration and calm to chaotic situations. May our words always bring life, peace,joy and light to the world in Jesus Mighty name. Amen.

The Father of the Righteous greatly rejoices and is Delighted

‭Proverbs 23:24 NKJV‬
[24] The father of the righteous will greatly rejoice, And he who begets a wise child will delight in him.

Hallelujah and glory be to God for this beautiful Sunday. May we rejoice and celebrate His goodness today. Happy Father’s Day to all father figures, more grace and blessings.

The few verses leading to today’s scripture indicates the need to listen to our fathers and not to despise our mothers. It further emphasises the need to buy the truth, get wisdom, understanding and discipline.

These are key decisions and directions which when followed leads to the living of a God filled and disciplined life. The father of the child who lives in the way of the Most High God therefore pleases God and the child becomes a wise child. May we go to God for wisdom for life.

May we be children that give our Father above great joy because of the choice to live a righteous life. May we remain wise children that delight the Heavenly Father in Jesus Mighty name. Amen

Anxiety weighs down the heart but a good Word uplifts

Anxiety in a man’s heart weighs it down, But a good (encouraging) word makes it glad.
PROVERBS 12:25 AMP

Glory and honour be to God for this beautiful day and the opportunity to rejoice and be glad in it.

Anxiety is so common with us that at the least moment we become anxious. We worry a lot but unfortunately cannot change the situation ourselves in most cases.

In one of Jesus’ teaching He indicated that with our anxiety we are unable to even add one strand of hair to what is on our head. The God we serve takes care of the birds of the air and the lilies of the field, He will continue to take care of us.

As today’s scripture says, anxiety causes us to be disheartened, worried, agitated, down hearted and many more which negatively affects us. The fact is that anxiety does not change the situation! May we desist from being anxious as we just hurt ourselves.

The scripture recommends a good and encouraging word which uplifts the soul and makes the heart glad. We should therefore be embracing good and encouraging words which will gladden the heart and make positive impact on our lives. Let us also look for some good gospel songs to sing along to uplift our souls and encourage ourselves in time of need.

May we receive the Grace to overcome and conquer anxiety in our lives. May God’s Word which encourages and exhorts be ours so we get lifted up in Jesus Mighty name. Amen

Sow generously for blessings as being stingy leads to poverty

There is the one who [generously] scatters [abroad], and yet increases all the more; And there is the one who withholds what is justly due, but it results only in want and poverty.
Proverbs 11:24 AMP

Our scripture for today highlights the importance of freely sowing and being blessed as against withholding that could lead to poverty. Be stingy and lose everything!

The one who scatters abroad and gives generously is the one who receives increase and therefore blessed. Bible says that the earth and all that is in it is the Lord’s so we should freely give and not withhold. Let us imagine that God withheld Jesus Christ from dying for our sins! Where would we have been by now?

The generous person shall always be blessed because as he gives the Lord multiples and also cause others to be blessing him.

May the Lord help us to live and have the heart that generously gives and receives the increase and blessings of the Lord. Jehovah be our help.Amen.

The Fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom

The [reverent] fear of the Lord [that is, worshiping Him and regarding Him as truly awesome] is the beginning and the preeminent part of wisdom [its starting point and its essence], And the knowledge of the Holy One is understanding and spiritual insight.

Hallelujah to the King of Kings for this beautiful day, let’s stay in His presence and worship Him!

To worship and praise the Lord, to observe His commandments and statutes means giving reverence to God. That is the fear of the Lord. To deliberately obey and do His will is the beginning of wisdom that the scripture has stated.

To fear Him is the beginning of wisdom but to have understanding and spiritual insight requires that we have knowledge of God. How do you acquire knowledge if you don’t do a deep study?

May the Fear of the Lord be the beginning and establishment of wisdom in our lives. May the careful and deep study of God and His Word give us understanding and spiritual insight in Jesus Mighty name. Amen.

Trust in the Lord and rely on Him with all your heart

Trust in and rely confidently on the Lord with all your heart And do not rely on your own insight or understanding. In all your ways know and acknowledge and recognize Him, And He will make your paths straight and smooth [removing obstacles that block your way].

Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding. Do we involve God in our important decision making? Our God knows everything, the end from the beginning so we should be guided by His Word in every step of the way.

We need to acknowledge God in order to receive His guidance. The arm of flesh will certainly fail us so we need to go to God in prayer for His guidance and direction.

May our Trust in the Lord stay firm. May we make God the most important part of everything we do so we receive His guidance to accomplish His purposes for our lives in Jesus Mighty name. Amen

The book of Proverbs requires friends to be loyal and committed at all times. We are to show our loyalty to friends as we expect from them.

Friends love at all times, friends and brethren are loyal and committed to the cause of friends and family.
A brother is born to support in times of adversity or challenges. May we be present to help in times of need.

Thank you Jesus for being there for us at all times! May we not become an island, but a community where each other receives the help required.

May we remain faithful and loving through and through. May we always be seen as reliable friends and brethren. May the Lord grant us the grace to stay loving and loyal at all times in Jesus Mighty name. Amen.

Learning from Instruction and Correction leads to Life

[17] He who learns from instruction and correction is on the [right] path of life [and for others his example is a path toward wisdom and blessing], But he who ignores and refuses correction goes off course [and for others his example is a path toward sin and ruin].

The scripture for today says that as we receive instructions and follow them, as we allow ourselves to be corrected when we go wrong, we are charting the path for life.

Instructions and corrections puts one on the path for life and gives wisdom and the blessings of the Lord. Therefore the one who shuns instructions and corrections embraces sin and ruin.

May we receive God’s instructions and corrections so that we will remain in the path of life and enjoy God’s wisdom and mega blessings. May disobedience to God’s word not be our portion in Jesus Mighty name. Amen.

A generous person shall prosper and be watered

The generous man [is a source of blessing and] shall be prosperous and enriched, And he who waters will himself be watered [reaping the generosity he has sown].

Praise God for this beautiful day and start of the eleventh month, we have the opportunity to lift worship and praise unto the Most High God. Hallelujah. Happy New Month!

Thank God for His Word which is ye and amen, Genesis 8:22 tells us that seedtime and harvest shall never cease as long as this earth remains. This word is confirmed and amplified by today’s scripture.

He who sows is the generous person, one who has allowed himself to be a source of blessing to others. That is the person the bible says will be watered and enriched! The generous person shall reap his or her generosity because he/she has watered others and therefore will remain watered.

May we be watered as we water others. May we be generous so our lives will be enriched and prosperous in Jesus Mighty name. May our seeds abide and multiply in Jesus name. Amen.
