The Father of the Righteous rejoices

The father of the righteous will greatly rejoice, And he who sires a wise child will have joy in him.

Hallelujah and glory be to God for this beautiful Sunday. May we rejoice and celebrate His goodness today.

The few verses leading to today’s scripture indicates the need to listen to our fathers and not to despise our mothers. It further emphasises the need to buy the truth, get wisdom, understanding and discipline.

These are key decisions and directions which when followed leads to the living of a God filled and disciplined life. The father of the child who lives in the way of the Most High God therefore pleases God and the child becomes a wise child. May we go to God for wisdom for life.

May we be children that give our Father above great joy because of the choice to live a righteous life. May we remain wise children that delight the Heavenly Father in Jesus Mighty name. Amen

Sow generously for blessings as being stingy leads to poverty

There is the one who [generously] scatters [abroad], and yet increases all the more; And there is the one who withholds what is justly due, but it results only in want and poverty.

Our scripture for today highlights the importance of freely sowing and being blessed as against withholding that could lead to poverty. Be stingy and lose everything!

The one who scatters abroad and gives generously is the one who receives increase and therefore blessed.

To worship and praise the Lord, to observe His commandments and stututes means giving reverence to God. That is the fear of the Lord. To deliberately obey and do His will is the beginning of wisdom that the scripture has stated.

To fear Him is the beginning of wisdom but to have understanding and spiritual insight requires that we have knowledge of God. How do you acquire knowledge if you don’t do a deep study?

May the Fear of the Lord be the beginning and establishment of wisdom in our lives. May the careful and deep study of God and His Word give us understanding and spiritual insight in Jesus Mighty name. Amen.

Guard your heart with Diligence

Watch over your heart with all diligence, For from it flow the springs of life.
PROVERBS 4:23 AMP

Hallelujah! Praise and Glory be to God for this beautiful day may His holy name be exalted and glorified.

Guard your heart or keep/watch your heart as it is the source of our life issues. The scripture says that we should watch over our hearts with all diligence.

That is we need to strive hard to keep watch over the heart since it is the source of our actions, Jesus once said that it is not what goes into a man that defiles him but what comes from within (Mark 7:21). Let’s therefore be conscious and cautious about what we process in our hearts.Guarding our hearts means loving Jesus and letting His Word dwell in us.

Heavenly Father help us to guard our hearts with all diligence so we can release only things that will edify those around us. May the issues of life that come out of our hearts be a blessing in Jesus Mighty name, Amen.

Righteousness Guards the Path of the blameless

Righteousness (being in right standing with God) guards the one whose way is blameless, But wickedness undermines and overthrows the sinner.

Glory be to God for this beautiful day, may the joy of the Lord be with you throughout the day. Thanks be to God for bringing us to the end of the 5th month of the year.

Righteousness is simply living right with God and this is what makes one a godly and upright person. It is your godliness or righteousness that will guard you from destruction.

The unrighteous person is the one who disregards the Word and ways of God so walks into the very sinful acts that the Word of God speaks against.

When you walk according to your own ways, you do your things your own way and therefore not covered by the protection of God. When you are not right with God you do not have the holy Spirit dwelling in you to prompt you not to sin against the Most High God. You may find yourself literally walking into destruction because that is what the depraved mind will lead you to do.Our bodies are the temples of God and must be sanctified at all times.

May the Lord help us to live right with Him so that we do not commit sins against our bodies and against God. May Jehovah God help us to walk blameless before Him all the days of our lives in Jesus Mighty name. Amen.

The Name of the Lord is our Strong Tower and refuge

The name of the Lord is a strong tower; The righteous runs to it and is safe and set on high [far above evil].

Praise God for the name of the Lord! It is the safety net we have as children of God. A tower that shields us from the wild things of this world that can destroy our lives.

The righteous run to the Strong Tower by obeying His commandments and walking in them. Abiding by the Word of God is safety by itself as we receive counsel and direction from the Word of God.

May we hold on to the name of the Lord as our Strong Tower and refuge, may we abide by His Word and walk in Safety. May we remain in Him and high above any evil in Jesus Mighty name. Amen

Words are powerful, they either make or break you. The scripture for the day is charging us to pay attention to the words that we utter. They carry the Power to make or unmake us.

The words that we speak should therefore contain life, they must be encouraging, reassuring, positive and bringing solutions. Such words bring life to any dead situation.

Let’s utilise the authority and power given us to use words to make a positive impact on the world. Our words should bring light to a dark world. People should yearn to hear from us because anytime we speak, joy and peace are experienced. May this be your portion in Jesus Mighty name.

May we always seek the Lord to bring restoration and calm to chaotic situations. May our words always bring life, peace,joy and light to the world in Jesus Mighty name. Amen.

Iron Sharpens Iron, Man Sharpens Man

As iron sharpens iron, So one man sharpens [and influences] another [through discussion].
PROVERBS 27:17 AMP

Praise be to God for this beautiful day and the opportunity to rejoice and be glad in it.

Iron sharpens iron! The iron that is able to sharpen must be sharp as a blunt iron cannot sharpen the other. We must stay as sharp irons and interact with other sharp irons so we can sharpen and be sharpened as well.

There is an adage that says show me your friend and I will show you your character. It is very true that as people relate closely, they influence each other. What kind of influence do we have on those we relate to? Our influence should be godly and positive, this is what we should give and receive!

May we remain sharpened by the Word of God as we sharpen and shape each other positively with our godly influence. May no blunt iron be able to negatively influence us. The Lord help us to stay as relevant influencers in our generation in Jesus Mighty name. Amen.

Thanks be to God for His continuous guidance and leadership, anything we place in His hands, He preserves and nurtures.

Today’s scripture says that we should commit our works to the Lord, it literally means surrendering our all to the Lord. What are our works that we think we can handle on our own? Submit them today into the hands of the Master and trust Him to lead the way.

Let us place our absolute trust in the Lord and look out for His outputs for us. Lord we commit our works and plans into your hands.

May the faithful God we serve provide the direction and guidance we need for our plans to succeed. May our plans and works succeed with Master Jesus in charge, Amen.

Pleasant words are like a honeycomb, Sweet and delightful to the soul and healing to the body.

Praise be to God for the blessings of a brand new day and the opportunity to rejoice and be glad in it.

Pleasant words always attract people and are heart warming. Pleasant words are carefully chosen words that are meant to encourage one to move to another level.

You listen to pleasant words and you feel fulfilled, no wonder the bible says that they are like honeycomb which is delightful to the soul and health to the body.

We should train ourselves to be speakers of pleasant words, we need to check the words that come out of our mouths and purpose that they will always edify.

May the Word of God be our standard measure of honeycomb and we shall not be disappointed. It is the ultimate source of pleasant words for our souls.

May we always be recipients of pleasant words as we also give out pleasant words, may they bring joy to our souls and health to our bodies in Jesus Mighty name. Amen.

Happy International Women’s Day

Praise and glory be to God for this beautiful day and the opportunity to rejoice and be glad in it.

Thanking God for the Proverbs 31 woman who is a great example on all fronts. Aside being the ideal wife, she is real virtuous woman full of many parts. This morning the scripture talks about her generosity. She identifies the needy and actually helps them.

She opens and extends her hands to the poor meaning she gives what she has to the poor. She fills both hands and extends to the needy. She does not hold back on what she has.

Do we have needy people around us, how do we treat them? In Matthew 25:34-40 Jesus Christ spoke about being helpful to the needy and the fact that it attracts heavenly recognition.

May the Lord help us to open and extend our hands to the poor. May we reach out our filled hands to the needy to fulfil Jesus’ words of Matthew 25:34-40. Help us Lord in Jesus Mighty name. Amen

Trust in the Lord Completely for your Safety

The fear of man brings a snare, But whoever trusts in and puts his confidence in the Lord will be exalted and safe.

Praise and honour be unto the Lord for placing us in a brand new day. We will rejoice and celebrate His goodness.

The bible says the arm of flesh will fail us! Therefore we should be guided by the fact that our trust should not be in any man as man can fail you.

Today’s scripture also states that the fear or reverence of man will bring a snare! Mortal man will try to do something for you but this cannot be compared to placing that trust in the Lord. On the other hand, man can nicely disappoint you big time. Trust God absolutely!

Let the Lord be in charge of every sphere of your life and see the difference. There is absolute safety in trusting the Lord. He never fails when we place our confidence in Him.

May we trust in the Lord and place our confidence in Him, may we receive safety from the Lord and be exalted on all fronts. May Jehovah God come through for us at all times as we put our trust in Him. Blessed weekend.
