Rejoice in Hope, Be Patient in Afflictions and Constant in Prayer

Glory and honour be to the King of Kings for this beautiful day and the gift of life. May our Friday be blessed greatly.

Thanks be to God for the gift of Jesus Christ and the Holy Spirit. Without these precious gifts there is no way we can rejoice and be patient during tribulations, it would have prevented us from even praying.

Glory be to God for the Holy Spirit at work in us that empowers us to be able to look ahead in Hope of Christ’s coming. This hope energizes us to go through the challenges of today with fervency and consistency in Prayer that one day we shall be with our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ in the awesome mansions He has prepared in His Father’s house for us.

May the Lord help us to Rejoice in Hope, be steadfast in distress and devoted to Prayer. May we live completely for Christ as our Lord and Saviour. God will definitely come through for us in Jesus Mighty name. Amen.

God is on our Side, no one can overcome us

What then shall we say to all these things? If God is for us, who can be [successful] against us?

Glory and honour be unto the Most High God for a brand new day. May His name be glorified now and forever more.

Whose side do you belong? The side of the Lord is victorious, heaven bound, full of grace, favour, peace, joy and mercy. The Lord’s side has conquerors and overcomers, very blessed people. I choose to be on this side, what about you?

All these have been made so because The Most High God allowed His only begotten son to die and conquer the works of the enemy on our behalf.

Choose therefore to be on the Lord’s side for your victory is at hand. His Greatness will come through for us and nothing can overcome us. The enemy will come in diverse ways but the Spirit of Lord within us will raise a standard against them and grant us victory.

May we appropriate our victory in Christ Jesus as we stay on the Lord’s side. Yes, God is with us and we are conquerors and overcomers in Jesus Mighty name! Amen.

Do Overcome Evil with Good!

Do not be overcome and conquered by evil, but overcome evil with good.
ROMANS 12:21 AMP

The beginning of this chapter talks about the renewal and transformation of our mind and seeking to do what is the perfect and acceptable will of God.

The book of Romans also says that we are more than conquerors through Christ. Today’s scripture says that we should not be overcome and conquered by evil but we should overcome evil with good.

Christ Jesus dwells in us and we are carriers of good news, we are conquerors and overcomers so we should overcome evil. We should not allow evil to defeat us.

Our Most High God help us not to pay back evil with evil but to live peaceably with all men for vengeance is the Lord’s. May we Strive to overcome and conquer evil with good as we obey and fulfil God’s word in Jesus Mighty name. Amen.

Be devoted to one another and Love others unconditionally

Be devoted to one another with [authentic] brotherly affection [as members of one family], give preference to one another in honor;

Our love must have its root from the love of God that caused Jesus Christ to die to save the world. Our love must be genuine love and not based on pretence.

Why are we showing love to someone? Is it for us to win favour or for public sympathy? God has called us to demonstrate real and sincere love that goes beyond pretence and politeness. It requires us to genuinely help others become better people.

Our love must honour others because they have been created in the image of God and God is Love.

May the Lord help us to love and honour one another based on His love for us. May our love seek genuinely to build up others and make them better people to the glory of God in Jesus Mighty name. Amen.

Hardships Produce Hope and Assurance of Salvation

And not only this, but [with joy] let us exult in our sufferings and rejoice in our hardships, knowing that hardship (distress, pressure, trouble) produces patient endurance; and endurance, proven character (spiritual maturity); and proven character, hope and confident assurance [of eternal salvation].

Praise and Glory be to God for this blessed day, may we rejoice and be glad in it.

Today’s scripture is drawing our minds to the fact that there are some benefits during our trial or difficult moments. God is able to use that to build up our character in the Faith.

We can recall the persecution of the church in Acts of the Apostles that sent Philip to Samaria to preach the gospel. The bible also has several accounts of the sufferings that Apostle Paul endured but came through and today is credited with more books in the Bible than anyone.

This is to draw attention to the fact that it is not only a gloomy situation when we enter into trials. We should therefore continue to trust God even in difficult moments that they will work together for our good.

May the Lord help us so that with endurance we will look forward to seeing Christ even in our challenging moments. God be our strength. May we not lose our salvation because of challenges that may come our way. Amen.

Accept Jesus Christ as your Lord and Saviour and receive His Peace

Therefore, since we have been justified [that is, acquitted of sin, declared blameless before God] by faith, [let us grasp the fact that] we have peace with God [and the joy of reconciliation with Him] through our Lord Jesus Christ (the Messiah, the Anointed).
Romans 5:1 AMP

Praise and glory be to God for this beautiful day and the opportunity to rejoice and be glad in it.

God the Father gave His only begotten son to die to set us free from sin and death. God however gave us the freewill to make a decision of accepting Jesus Christ into our lives.

A decision to accept Jesus Christ as our Lord and Saviour means that we are unable to cleanse ourselves of the sin and filth that we live with but recognizing the fact that only Jesus Christ can save us and cleanse us from all unrighteousness.

This we do by Faith in Christ Jesus, today you also have the opportunity to accept Jesus Christ as your Lord and Personal Saviour so that you receive the Peace of God. The peace of God will settle you in all spheres of life as you fully rely on God and entrust ALL to Him.

May the Lord help us to commit our lives completely Jesus Christ and thereby receive the Peace of God that passes all understanding. May great grace abound towards us in Jesus Mighty name. Amen.

Atonement and Reconciliation through the blood of Jesus Christ

whom God displayed publicly [before the eyes of the world] as a [life-giving] sacrifice of atonement and reconciliation (propitiation) by His blood [to be received] through faith. This was to demonstrate His righteousness [which demands punishment for sin], because in His forbearance [His deliberate restraint] He passed over the sins previously committed [before Jesus’ crucifixion].

Thanks be to God for giving us His only begotten son to die and bring us to God. In order for us to get saved and become sons and daughters of the Most High God, God Almighty sacrificed His son Jesus Christ to cleanse us forevermore.

The sacrifice of Jesus Christ atoned for our sins and reconciled us back to the Father. Therefore anyone who calls on the name of the Lord receives the gift of Salvation and is reconciled to God.

May the blood of Jesus Christ that was sacrificed continue to speak for us. May it bring atonement and reconciliation to all mankind in Jesus Mighty name. Call upon the name of the Lord and be saved,Amen.

Do not be Conformed to the world but Be Transformed by renewing your mind

And do not be conformed to this world [any longer with its superficial values and customs], but be transformed and progressively changed [as you mature spiritually] by the renewing of your mind [focusing on godly values and ethical attitudes], so that you may prove [for yourselves] what the will of God is, that which is good and acceptable and perfect [in His plan and purpose for you].

The systems of the world compete daily for our minds and attention. We live in the world but are not of the world. That is why the scripture today is admonishing us not to conform to the patterns of the world, but rather transform by renewing our minds.

Our focus should be on God, while doing whatever we are called to do or have found doing, we should let our connection with God permeate through. Our spirituality should not be confined to the church but everywhere we find ourselves.

Godly values and ethical standards should be our hallmark, people should desire Christ when they encounter us.

May we live in accordance with God’s values so that we would see ourselves fulfilling the plans and purposes of God concerning our lives. May we be active ambassadors for Christ!

Our Future Glory far surpasses present suffering

For I consider [from the standpoint of faith] that the sufferings of the present life are not worthy to be compared with the glory that is about to be revealed to us and in us!

Glory , honour and Praise be to the Lord for a brand new day, rejoice and be glad in it. Celebrate the goodness of the Lord.

The Apostle Paul went through a lot of challenges and difficulties in his ministry and therefore this statement is a reality check.

People of God have you encountered any tough times in your walk with God. Have you been ridiculed for choosing to follow Christ? Have you been involved in outreaches in the most remote places, these call for a lot of sacrifices. What other sacrifices have you made for the sake of God’s Kingdom.

The day’s scripture tells us that our mind should be on the glory of the Lord that we shall experience in Christ when He comes for His own. The bible says in His Father’s house, there are many mansions prepared for those who will hold on to the Faith till the end.

Most High God help us to endure any challenges or difficulties we May encounter in our service to the Lord. May we keep trusting God to encounter the future Glory. May the Lord help us in Jesus Mighty name.

The Righteous live by Faith

For in the gospel the righteousness of God is revealed, both springing from faith and leading to faith [disclosed in a way that awakens more faith]. As it is written and forever remains written, “The just and upright shall live by faith.”

Halleluyah! Praise and glory be to God for this beautiful day and the opportunity to rejoice and be glad in it.

The gospel is the righteousness of God and therefore as followers of Jesus Christ who is an embodiment of the Gospel, we cannot but pursue righteousness.

The child of God must therefore live right with God, our salvation package comes along with righteousness and we cannot opt out else we lose our right standing with Christ.

Living right with God takes its source from our Faith in the Most High God. God receives us as righteous because of our Faith in Him. Certainly the righteous and just live by Faith.

May we encounter the righteousness of God revealed by the Gospel. May we be saved by God and live a righteous life by Faith. May we not depart from absolute Faith in the Most High God. Amen

Receive the Mind of Christ to Honour and Praise God

Now may the God who gives endurance and who supplies encouragement grant that you be of the same mind with one another according to Christ Jesus, so that with one accord you may with one voice glorify and praise and honor the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ.

Apostle Paul charged that we should strive to have the mind of Christ, that gives us a firm foundation to be able to give the due honour to the Most High God. May we receive the encouragement and staying power to focus on Christ Jesus.

May our hearts and minds glorify Him. All honour and adoration, glory be to our Father and King.

May all honour be unto His holy name. May our ceaseless praise be unto our maker and creator of the universe, the Most High God, the I am that I am God. May His praise continually be part of our daily lives.

Believe in your heart, and Confess with your Mouth -Jesus is Lord

For with the heart a person believes [in Christ as Savior] resulting in his justification [that is, being made righteous–being freed of the guilt of sin and made acceptable to God]; and with the mouth he acknowledges and confesses [his faith openly], resulting in and confirming [his] salvation.

Praise God for a brand new day and the blessings of seeing this day. It is a gift from God and we appreciate dearly.

Today Salvation has come to us all to embrace especially those of us who are yet to receive Jesus Christ as our Lord and Saviour. The steps are very simple and captured in our heading for today.

Believe in your heart that Jesus Christ is your Lord and Saviour and declare it by opening your mouth to confess it by saying this simple prayer.

Lord Jesus I accept you as my Lord and Personal Saviour, forgive me and cleanse me of all my sins, come and live in me and take total control over my life. Please write my name in the Book of Life in Jesus Mighty name. Amen.”

This simple prayer translates you from the kingdom of darkness into God’s marvellous Kingdom and hands over to you the free gift of Salvation. Jesus is Lord over your life and get a Bible believing church to fellowship if you don’t already belong to one.

May all flesh believe in their heart that Jesus Christ is Lord and confess with their mouth. May the Grace of God keep all us in Him till His coming so we shall surely make it to heaven. Amen.
