Therefore humble yourselves under the mighty hand of God [set aside self-righteous pride], so that He may exalt you [to a place of honor in His service] at the appropriate time,

Praise be to God for this beautiful day and the opportunity to rejoice and be glad in it.
Glory be to God for His Word today. Humility exalts and opens more doors for us in life just as pride shuts doors. Jesus Christ in His earthly ministry touched on this a number of times.
“Whosoever shall humble himself like a little child, the same is the greatest in the Kingdom of heaven” (Matthew 18:4)
The call by Apostle Peter is therefore to remind us all of what our Lord Jesus Christ Himself taught several times. It is a good call to action in case we may have forgotten ourselves and riding high in pride.
Let us set aside self righteous pride, avail ourselves under the Mighty Hand of God and He will exalt us to a place of honour at the appropriate time in Jesus Mighty name.
Lord we choose to be humble under your feet for your guidance in lifting us up to the heights you have in stock for us, let it be according to your Word in Jesus Mighty name.Amen
